Town of Arland frac sand plant in planning stages

Within a year, a frac sand supply company aims to enlarge its presence in Barron County.

Mike Miclette, district manager for Carmeuse (pronounced car MEWS), said the international, family-owned corporation plans to build a plant and mine frac sand in the Town of Arland for the next 30-50 years.
