Each year, the Wisconsin Athletic Directors Association provides an opportunity for high schools to formally recognize an individual from the district or community for their work in student athletics. This year’s recipient, Lee Killoren, pictured at right, was presented the award at halftime during the boys’ basketball game against Bloomer on Friday, Jan. 25. Killoren has had a significant impact on numerous youth athletic programs, including Youth Football 101, flag football and Playmakers (basketball), along with serving as Sand Creek Slammers baseball coordinator, Sandlot 101 baseball coordinator, youth baseball coach and middle school golf coach. Killoren has also coached girls’ basketball and boys’ golf at the varsity level and has served as an advisor for the fishing clubs at Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Middle/High School. Pictured with Killoren is C-W athletic director Koll Fjelstad, at left.
