Felonies

William R. Souter, 58, Rice Lake, was charged July 14 with possession with intent-amphetamine (3–10 grams) (repeater) [July 13] and a cash bond was set at $250.

James G. Hoisington Jr., 33, Cumberland, was charged July 14 with bail jumping-felony [June 29] and a summons was issued.

Jospeh M. Ricci, 41, Rice Lake, was charged July 19 with OWI (fourth), possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia [July 18] and a signature bond was set at $2,500 with conditions to avoid alcohol and anywhere it is sold and to not drive without a valid license.

Eric C. Ewing, 57, Cameron, pled guilty May 6 to possession with intent-THC (200 grams or less) [Sept. 11, 2020] and was ordered July 13 to two years of state prison-imposed and stayed, two years of exended supervision-imposed and stayed and two years of probation-sentence imposed with conditions of costs of 10 days in jail, 80 hours of community service, costs of $518, must remain absolutely sober and must undergo any recommended treatments. Charges of maintaining a drug trafficking place (second and subsequent offense) and two misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia [Sept. 11, 2020] were dismissed on May 6.

Kevin L. Swartz, 36, Chetek, had charges of forgery-uttering (repeater) and misdemeanor bail jumping-misdemeanor [Nov. 4, 2019] dismissed but read in on Sept. 2020.

Trevor L. Davis, 31, Rice Lake, pled guilty July 16 to possession of methamphetamine and forfeiture OWI (first) [Aug. 7, 2020] and was ordered to 18 months of state prison-imposed and stayed, 24 months of extended supervision-imposed and stayed, license revoked six months and three years of probation-sentence withheld with conditions of costs of $1,329.50, must remain absolutely sober, must avoid alcohol, intoxicants and controlled substances excluding those used in the manner prescribed by a doctor, must undergo the drug and alcohol court program, must undergo any recommended treatments and alcohol assessment.

Matthew E. Petersen, 39, Rice Lake, pled guilty July 14 to OWI (fourth) and possession of methamphetamine [Sept. 6, 2020] and was ordered to four years in state prison-imposed and stayed, three years of extended supervision-imposed and stayed, license revoked three years and three years of probation-sentence imposed with conditions of 120 days in jail, fines and costs of $2,287, must avoid alcohol and controlled substances except those used in the manner prescribed by a doctor, must not drive, must undergo any recommended treatments and alcohol assessment. Charges of operating with PAC (fourth) and misdemeanors operating while revoked and ignition interlock device tampering/failing to install/violate court order [Sept. 6, 2020] were dismissed but read in.

Daniel W. Loper, 41, Eugene, Ore., pled guilty May 20 to possession with intent-THC (1,000-2,500 grams) (conspiracy to commit) [Oct. 1, 2016] and was ordered July 16 to 1.5 years in state prison and two years of extended supervision with conditions to pay costs of $518, must have no contact with five subjects, must avoid drugs and alcohol and anywhere it is sold and must undergo any recommended treatments.

Misdemeanors

Piper E. Unrein, 17, Ladysmith, had an amended charge of exposing genitals/pubic area/intimate parts-child act as actor/close age of actor and child [July 4, 2020] dismissed on July 14.

Jimmy L. Bronstad, 28, Rice Lake, pled guilty July 19 to an amended charge of possession of amphetamine/LSD/psilocin and possession of THC [Oct. 22, 2020] and was ordered to six months in local jail-sentence imposed and stayed and one year of probation-sentence imposed with conditions of costs of $886, must remain absolutely sober, must avoid controlled substances except those used in the manner prescribed by a doctor and must undergo any recommended treatments.

Jeffrey A. Rush, 34, Chetek, pled guilty July 16 to operating while revoked [Dec. 31, 2020] and was ordered to costs of $443 and14 days in local jail. Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and bail jumping-misdemeanor [Dec. 31, 2020] were dismissed but read in.

Reynaldo Ramos, 22, Rice Lake, pled guilty July 15 to OWI (second) [June 19] and was ordered to 10 days in local jail, alcohol assessment, license revoked 12 months, costs of $1,429 and 12 months of ignition interlock. Charges of felony bail jumping and misdemeanors operating while revoked and six counts of bail jumping-misdemeanor [June 19] were dismissed but read in.
