2:22 a.m. Cameron woman says there was a silver minivan circling her house and someone punching her windows. Officer advised.
8:15 a.m. Caller says a van on Hwy. 53 is swerving all over the road. 8:29 a.m., officer stopped the car in Chetek. Driver is a nurse in Eau Claire and was returning home after a long shift.
8:49 a.m. EMS paged to rural Cameron for a man who fell and is bleeding from his face. He is on three different blood thinners.
10:12 a.m. EMS paged to a Chetek nursing home for a sick patient.
11:58 a.m. EMS page to Chetek for an elderly woman who is having trouble breathing and is on oxygen.
12:19 p.m. Caller says a woman with a Dunn County warrant is living in Dallas. 1:23 p.m., woman is in custody. 1:43 p.m., Dunn County does not have anyone available. En route to the jail. 1:47 p.m., checking if Dunn County can meet them halfway. 2:13 p.m., Dunn County judge set a court date. Woman can be released at her residence.
6:17 p.m. Caller says his wife left her wedding ring at a Chetek resort and they will not send it back because there were outstanding charges from others in their party. Deputy advised. 7:42 p.m., resort will send it back.
Wednesday, July 15
1:46 a.m. Rusk County says a man is making suicidal comments and sent a photo of him holding a knife. He may be near Cameron. 1:52 a.m., man lives with his sister near Cameron. Talking with the man’s mother. 1:55 a.m., out with the man. 2:43 a.m., safety plan was set up for the man.
1:46 a.m. Chetek caller says there is a lot of noise in rural Chetek. There is a lot of yelling and someone is revving an engine. 2:27 a.m., OWI traffic stop. Field sobriety. 2:41 a.m., a female took off on foot. There may be an underage party. There are kids running all over. 2:46 a.m., woman in custody for obstructing and disorderly conduct. 3:04 a.m., checking the area. Officer en route to Barron for a blood draw. 3:12 a.m., woman is in custody and en route to jail.
1:57 a.m. EMS paged to rural Cameron with a man having chest pain.
10:43 a.m. EMS paged to Chetek for a woman who is dizzy and has had diarrhea for the last few days.
11:11 a.m. Caller says there are two kids holding signs in the median in Cameron. They are concerned for their safety. Officer says they are not in the road and they are okay.
11:44 a.m. Rural Chetek caller says twin children are going from trailer to trailer looking for a place to stay because they are afraid of their mother’s boyfriend. The caller says the man is a sex offender. She also heard a boy may have been injured recently. 12:36 p.m., deputy requests a call from a social worker. 1:02 p.m., kids are okay for now.
2:01 p.m. Person in Chetek fell out of bed. EMS paged.
3:23 p.m. Off-duty officer got a report of a subject walking on Hwy. 53. The subject was kicked out of a car and was walking to Wausau. 4:25 p.m., deputy did not see the person.
6:35 p.m. Man says he was traveling with a group of people and was using the restroom in Chetek when they left him. He walked to the Hwy. 53 rest area and needs to get to Wausau. He tried contacting the people he was riding with and they blocked him. He has no one else to come and pick him up. 7:32 p.m., deputy is with the person. 8:06 p.m., man was dropped off in Bloomer.
7:59 p.m. Rusk County says they have a man with a Barron County warrant. Warrant was confirmed. 8:26 p.m., deputy is meeting Rusk County at the county line to get the man.
Thursday, July 16
4:08 p.m. Chetek caller says she has a restraining order against her husband and it specifies he is not supposed to possess firearms. He is living with a man who has more than 200 guns and carries at all times. She is concerned for her husband’s mental health and how he will react to another restraining order from his son. 8:19 p.m. Chetek man says his son is threatening him and trespassing on his mother’s property. 8:48 p.m., officer says everyone has separated. Nothing physical occurred.
Friday, July 17
4:31 p.m. Chetek officer out with a crash near the Long Bridge. Tow requested. 4:38 p.m., EMS paged for a teenager with shoulder pain.
5:58 p.m. Chetek caller says a boat appeared in the bay. It is sinking and appears abandoned.
7:14 p.m. Van on fire between Chetek and Cameron. Everyone is out. Chetek Fire paged. 7:25 p.m., southbound traffic is stopped. 7:52 p.m., fire is contained. Wrecker en route. 8:20 p.m., road is reopened. No crash report is needed.
11:04 p.m. Cameron caller says someone is running through yards, knocking on people’s windows and doors. It is four or five juveniles. 11:18 p.m., no locate.
11:23 p.m. Caller says during a child exchange, two adults were highly intoxicated and had a child on their lap with no seat belt. They had agreed to do the exchange with the coming storms but the exchange did not happen. 1:10 a.m., woman says the couple is camping near Sand Creek. 1:44 a.m., no locate on the vehicle.
Saturday, July 18
12:34 a.m. Cameron woman says someone is knocking on her door and requests an officer. 12:45 a.m., officer is checking some tall grass near the property. 1:02 a.m., officer did not see anyone.
3:59 a.m. Cameron Fire paged to a tree on fire from arcing electric lines near 19th Street and 17th Avenue.
5:10 p.m. Caller on Ojaski Lake says a pontoon with two 300 horsepower motors does not follow no-wake rules. Logged for info and the recreation deputy would be advised.
6:13 p.m. EMS paged to a Chetek resort for a man who is not breathing. He is in a car at the resort entrance. 6:18 p.m., off-duty nurse is doing CPR. 6:29 p.m., helicopter will land at the airport. 6:58 p.m., patient will be transported.
7:33 p.m. Rural Chetek man says a woman showed up at his residence. She was yelling in the background. Advised him to have the woman go outside, to have him lock his doors and to wait for law enforcement. Woman started to leave in her vehicle. 8:13 p.m., not a mandatory arrest but the woman was told if she returned she will be arrested.
10:39 p.m. Caller says sirens were going off in Chetek and she can barely hear them. She requested they be turned up. She was advised to contact the city and that it was not a 911 issue.
11:13 p.m. Cameron caller says he and his girlfriend went to her father’s to collect some belongings. The man was acting strange and fired his shotgun into the air 10 times. After they left, he sent threatening texts to her. The man is a felon and is not supposed to possess firearms. Logged for info.
11:19 p.m. 911 call. A 21-year-old woman passed out in a Chetek bar.
Sunday, July 19
2:15 a.m. Chetek woman said a car tried to kidnap two children. She said they tried stealing her shoes. She was not making any sense and talking about invisible children that her neighbors tried to steal. She said they were sleeping on the couch. 2:32 a.m., a safety plan was put in place.
2:24 a.m. Vehicle is driving without lights near Dallas. Traffic stop. Field sobriety test. 3:02 a.m., driver in custody for OWI. 3:44 a.m., blood draw at hospital. 4:02 a.m., owner picked up the vehicle.
9:57 a.m. Caller says a driver may be on drugs. It is headed east on Hwy. 8 east of Cameron. He was driving slowly and swinging his arms in the air. 10:05 a.m., traffic stop. Man was on the phone with his boss and it was not going well.
10:56 a.m. Deputy out with two juveniles in Cameron. 11:26 a.m., parents were talked to. The ATV was not registered and they were advised on proper operation of the ATV.
Monday, July 20
12:40 a.m., out at a store with the juveniles.
12:43 a.m. New Auburn man says there is damage to his vehicle and his neighbor was on his property. He said the man was in his car. The man was whispering. He said there were now several subjects and one may have a gun. 1:05 a.m., deputy says the man has mental issues related to drugs.
12:53 a.m. Fight at a bar in Dallas. Bartender says the subject was asked to leave and he started fighting. 1:12 a.m., man will be picked up and will be banned from the bar.
1:27 a.m. Chetek man says his neighbor was being disorderly. It was around 10:30 p.m. but he is asleep now. He found some things of his that are broken and he would like to see an officer.
10:21 a.m. Registered sex offender notified police he will be staying in the 300 block of Poplar Avenue in Cameron for five days starting today.
10:30 a.m. Caller on CTH D says he saw a car go into the ditch. It rolled. Subjects are out and are bleeding from the face. EMS paged. 10:55 a.m., wrecker requested.
11:43 a.m. New Auburn man called about a raid at his house with cops in camo and rams. No record of it. Man had been talked to while having mental issues. 12:39 p.m., deputy spoke with the man. He is on drugs and does not believe there was a raid on his house.
11:46 p.m. Dallas man says he came home and a man was inside. 12:03 a.m., deputy says there are some mental issues.
