5:14 p.m. Rusk County is trying to locate a suspect in an arson fire and theft of firearms.

10:22 p.m. Third-party report of a domestic fight in Chetek. Woman is afraid to call but it appears verbal-only at this time. 11:40 p.m., it was verbal. Man has most of his property and will get the rest of it at a later time.

Wednesday, Sept. 9

3:51 a.m. Caller on Hwy. 53 near New Auburn says a car is swerving and hit several construction barrels. 3:59 a.m., traffic stop near Chetek. 4:21 a.m., driver in custody for OWI. Wrecker will be en route to tow the vehicle. 4:44 a.m., en route to the hospital.

6:39 a.m. Chetek caller says a man took his vehicle this morning. Caller says the man had “made a scene” earlier, left, then returned to take his car. He may be headed to Chetek, Rice Lake or Ladysmith. 6:50 a.m., caller says the car was returned. 12:35 p.m., caller says the man did not get out and took off with the car again. 1:14 p.m., driver has a warrant from probation. 1:50 p.m., caller will fill out a statement, and he believes the car will be returned.

Thursday, Sept. 10

5:56 a.m. Sheriff says Rusk County requested a drone and K-9 to help find two people who fled from a car.

12:50 p.m. Chetek man says his camper was broken into. He is not sure if anything is missing but a tool box was left behind. 2:33 p.m., deputy spoke to the man. He claimed someone took a bunch of appliances and did other things to him. Deputy advised the man to seek medical help.

2:44 p.m. Chetek caller says a man came into her house and took her phone. She is calling from the bar across the street.

9:56 p.m. Vehicle is on CTH SS with hazards on north of Chetek. 10:16 p.m., vehicle is in the middle of the road. Wrecker contacted. 10:34 p.m., subject is walking up to the deputy’s squad. 10:50 p.m., subject is in custody for bail jumping.

Friday, Sept. 11

12:32 p.m. Traffic stop in Cameron. Driver was cited for THC possession.

1:06 p.m. Chetek officer was out for a complaint of a worthless check at a store.

3:25 p.m. Rural Chetek caller says a car pulled into her driveway and the driver was barking at her dog. She asked them what he was doing and he drove off.

4:11 p.m. Cameron woman says she did not get her children today after school. She tried to contact a man but he did not respond. 4:37 p.m., clerk of courts says four restraining orders need to be served to the woman. Deputy served the papers.

4:25 p.m. Chetek caller says a 75-year-old man damaged his political sign. He gave him a chance to make it right but the subject did not respond back to him.

6:15 p.m. Search warrant in Cameron. 7:19 p.m., en route to the jail with one.

6:59 p.m. Cameron man says his daughter has been followed by a man for three days. She has had problems with him stalking her in the past. He followed her to a store and texted her he knows where she is at all times. He is not around now. 8:15 p.m., deputy spoke with them and will patrol the area. They will get a restraining order.

8:09 p.m. Traffic stop at CTH I and Hwy. 53. Woman was cited for possession.

9:48 p.m. Man in Chetek is en route to a bar because he saw, on camera, someone touch his wife. Caller is concerned there may be a fight. 11:02 p.m., another man was cited for disorderly conduct and got a sober ride home.

Saturday, Sept. 12

1:09 p.m. Caller at a Chetek bar says there is a woman there who is on a no-drink order. 1:31 p.m., woman is in custody. En route to the jail. 2:15 p.m., woman was booked and released. She was dropped off in Chetek.

2:35 p.m. Vehicle swerved and hit another vehicle on Main Street in Cameron. 3:09 p.m., man is in custody for operating while revoked and bail jumping. 4:43 p.m., probation will place a hold.

11:01 p.m. Cameron caller says they are having heroin withdrawals. They can’t stop vomiting and they feel dizzy.

Sunday, Sept. 13

10:41 a.m. Dallas man says he met his ex-mother-in-law on the road and when he got home, she was in his driveway. She flipped him off and left. Deputy will try to talk to the woman and told him to file a restraining order if it continues.

11:22 a.m. Caller on 30th Street and 14th Avenue say there is a vehicle in the ditch. Driver is passed out behind the wheel. EMS, Chetek Fire, deputies paged. 11:51 a.m., man is in custody for OWI. 12:46 p.m., en route to jail. 1:31 p.m., man was released to his mother.

12:17 p.m. Cameron woman says she is going through heroin withdrawals. She last used on Friday. She says she cannot feel her arms and has stomach pains.

Monday, Sept. 14

5:21 p.m. Rural Cameron man says he put a set of tires for sale by the road and a buyer gave him $100 for it. When the buyer came back to take them, he went outside with a gun in his waistband and said the buyer was trying to short him money. They got into an argument. The caller said the buyer gave him the money and left. Logged for info.
