David Hager

A registered sex offender who has served out his sentence for felony child sex assault crimes has been released from custody and will reside in rural New Auburn, according to Chippewa County Sheriff James Kowalczyk.

David D. Hager, 47, will reside at 25978 CTH F, New Auburn, in the town of Sampson, Chippewa County. He will be released on Wednesday, Dec. 4, and will remain under supervision by the Department of Corrections.

Conditions of Hager’s supervision prohibit him from any unsupervised contact with minors and no contact with his victims. Hager is restricted from being on the property of any schools, parks or day-care centers. He must remain a registered sex offender for life, follow rules and and GPS monitoring.

Hager was convicted in 1995 of three counts of felony incest with a child. In 2008, he was deemed a “sexually violent person,” and was committed.
