8:14 a.m. Man on Hwy. 53 near Chetek says an eagle flew out in front of him and he hit it. The eagle is dead.
8:57 a.m. EMS paged to Chetek for a woman who has right leg pain and is sick.
9:41 a.m. Chetek officer has a case for drug paraphernalia found at a Chetek business.
9:48 a.m. Chetek EMS paged for a woman who fell outside.
12:01 p.m. Cameron officer out for a harassment complaint. 12:30 p.m., woman has been harassing people. Officer will contact Altoona police. 5:22 p.m., officer says the woman threatened to slit the complainant’s throat.
12:28 p.m. Chetek EMS paged to Chetek for a woman who is slurring her speech and has high blood sugar. She fell earlier.
1:37 p.m. New Auburn caller says a brush fire is burning out of control. New Auburn Fire paged. Caller says only one truck is needed. 1:53 p.m., fire warden will not be able to respond until later. They will follow up with the fire department. 2:03 p.m., fire is under control. It was on a cement slab and they have a payloader nearby. Fire department will let them continue burning. 3:43 p.m., warden is at the address.
4:51 p.m. Chetek EMS paged for a woman who has a heart condition and is light-headed.
7:40 p.m. Dallas man says he got home and his house was ransacked and burglarized. July 13, 9:37 a.m., man says he noticed two guns are missing. A single-shot .22 and a .25 cal. automatic.
11:36 p.m. Caller says two women are yelling along with music in Chetek. 12:04 a.m., officer says a woman’s parents picked her up. The other will stay home.
Tuesday, July 13
9 a.m. Dallas resident has a complaint about theft of prescription drugs.
10:28 a.m. Man says he was talking to a woman who said a man sent her a picture of a suicide note. Man would like a welfare check on the man. 11:18 a.m., Cameron officer contacted the man. He said he was not suicidal and it was to get attention.
11:05 a.m. EMS paged to Chetek for a woman who fell.
11:07 a.m. Chetek officers are en route to a Chetek restaurant for a disgruntled employee. 11:22 a.m., man left for the day.
12:37 p.m. EMS paged to Cameron for a woman who may be having a stroke.
3:01 p.m. A car is parked along 22nd Street. A window is broken and keys are on the seat. 3:34 p.m., woman says she will remove the car. 3:47 p.m., another woman says she just reported the car stolen in Sawyer County. 4 p.m., Spooner Police Department requests a call about the car. It sounds like there is a family disagreement about the car. 4:39 p.m., car will be towed to Webster. 9:26 p.m., second woman called back and asked why it was towed to Webster. There is a family dispute about the car. It needs to be resolved in civil court.
5:04 p.m. Cameron caller says a 6-year-old neighbor touched her 2-year-old inappropriately. 5:23 p.m., officer is speaking with the parents. 5:30 p.m., officer addressed the issue. Neither wanted contact with each other or the children.
6:01 p.m. Deputy is headed to Dallas to assist with an arrest.
7:09 p.m. Caller says a person behind a store’s counter seems to be on drugs. The person doesn’t appear to be employed there and should not be there. There may be drug deals happening there. 7:28 p.m., officer says the caller may be right. 8:19 p.m., officer left a message for the business owner.
7:47 p.m. Woman got bucked off a horse in Chetek. En route to Bloomer.
9:31 p.m. Caller at Hwy. 8 and Hwy. 53 hit a deer fawn. It is stuck on her car and she needs help removing it.
11:32 p.m. EMS paged to Cameron for a woman who is having chest and back pain. They will meet the ambulance in Cameron.
Wednesday, July 14
12:25 a.m. Caller in the 600 block of 28th Street heard a bang. A small car hit a power pole. There are powerlines down in the roadway. The driver has a bloody nose and she is at the caller’s residence. EMS and a wrecker were paged. 12:51 a.m., utility will need a new pole and transformer. The transformer is laying in the yard. 1:03 a.m., woman will be transported to Rice Lake. A pipe was found in her purse and she will be cited for drugs.
4:31 a.m. Caller on Railroad Avenue in Chetek says a SUV pulled over and grabbed someone by the neck and threw them in the SUV, then drove north. 4:38 a.m., another caller says a woman was able to get out of the car. She is at a business and very upset. 4:45 a.m., officer says the woman does not want anything done and that she took care of it. 4:48 a.m., woman was dropped off at a business and is waiting for her brother. She refused police assistance.
12:55 p.m. Rusk County requests ERT. Staging area will be near Christy Mountain. Subject is barricaded in a house nearby. 2:04 p.m., subject is in custody.
6:05 p.m. EMS paged to New Auburn for an elderly man who fell.
Thursday, July 15
7:41 a.m. Man says someone left a dog at the dog park on CTH M. 8:43 a.m., camera shows the dog has been there since 1 a.m. 10:14 a.m., deputy says the dog was left there intentionally this afternoon. The dog park owner will bring the dog to Happy Tales. 4:31 p.m., deputy will be at Happy Tales to follow up.
8:26 a.m. Chetek woman says she was defrauded by a Social Security scam call. She lost $1,500. She will call back to make a report when she is home.
9 a.m. Several 911 hang-up calls in Chetek. 9:44 a.m., officer was not able to reach the caller. His brother said he was in the city with another brother and they got into an argument over cigarettes. The man will be walking home.
10:16 a.m. Welfare check on a man who may be off his meds and at-risk. 11:03 a.m., deputy spoke with the caller.
11:47 a.m. EMS paged to a Chetek nursing home for a man who is sick.
2:08 p.m. Chetek officer says a car is parked improperly on Center Street. 2:21 p.m., car will be towed.
2:11 p.m. Chetek EMS paged to Weyerhaeuser for a man with breathing issues.
3:20 p.m. Social services requests a deputy assist with a home visit in New Auburn. 4:49 p.m., they are doing a safety plan.
3:34 p.m. Chetek woman requests an officer meet her to help her retrieve her property. She left her husband. She said he is aggressive and may not cooperate with police. She will meet the officer in the city.
4:53 p.m. St. Croix County requests a cabin on Pokegama Lake be checked for a man wanted on arson and recklessly endangering safety charges. July 16, 1:07 p.m., deputy checked the property and it does not look like anyone is there.
9:25 p.m. Caller says a large, red truck hit the diesel pumps at a gas station. It left. 9:56 p.m., officer says there is no damage. It got close to the pumps but did not hit it.
Friday, July 16
12:30 a.m. Caller says, on his doorbell camera, he can see two people in his driveway. He is at work and is not expecting anyone. His father and son are at home sleeping. The suspects went to a back shed. The suspects then ran east. 12:40 a.m., deputy checked the area and found footprints leading east. 12:48 a.m., there is a car parked at a park but he is not sure if it is related. 12:56 a.m., deputy did not see anyone.
3:39 a.m. Cameron man says he is getting automated messages from the Vine system saying an inmate has been released. He needs a pin number to stop the calls. He thinks it is calling the wrong number and cannot get it to stop calling every few hours. 3:52 a.m., man was advised to call Vine during normal business hours.
5:14 a.m. Cameron caller says there was a vehicle in the ditch near his house this morning. He asked if the subject needed help and they said no and that they had help coming. The car is still there. 6:04 a.m., car was towed and will be held for a statement.
7:25 a.m. Caller says there is a dead eagle on the Hwy. 53 bridge near Cameron. 8:36 a.m., bird has been removed.
7:41 a.m. EMS paged to a Chetek nursing home for a man who fell last night.
11:23 a.m. Dallas woman says a truck is doing burnouts and is speeding.
11:38 a.m. 911 call. Woman in Chetek says she and her boyfriend were arguing and she left. The man is still home and going crazy. He has warrants. She does not want to press charges. 11:45 a.m., officer says they are not letting her into the residence and say the man is not there.
12:35 p.m. Chetek caller says a car is parked in his neighbor’s driveway. It should not be there. There is a woman inside who is sleeping. She may be intoxicated or living in the car. 1:19 p.m., car is gone.
1:13 p.m. Chetek EMS paged to a nursing home for a man having breathing trouble.
2:17 p.m. Woman says she got a call from her uncle that his wife is hitting him. The caller would like an officer to accompany her when she goes to pick up the man. 2:57 p.m., man left with his niece and they will make arrangements for a place for him to stay.
7:18 p.m. Woman says someone took her credit card and charged it in Chetek on June 14. She was not in Chetek at that time. She would like to know if the business has cameras.
8:44 p.m. EMS paged to Chetek for a woman who has breathing problems.
Saturday, July 17
12:04 a.m. Rural Cameron woman says she heard loud banging on the back door and someone tried to open it. She and her sister are afraid that someone is trying to get in. 12:21 a.m., officer checked the area and did not see anyone.
3:46 p.m. Rural Chetek woman says people have been trespassing, taking her trail cameras and vandalizing her property. 5:48 p.m., deputy spoke with the woman. The cameras were taken by a man. He and the woman will work out the issue.
7:40 p.m. Deputy says a Dallas woman called, upset about someone dumping round bales on her property and driving in her yard. She said a tractor was blocking her driveway and the operator was yelling at her. 8:26 p.m., trooper says there are no cows on the road and they are fenced in. Deputy says the woman was upset about some rutting in the driveway. 8:46 p.m., deputy did not see the other party.
7:58 p.m. Caller says a cow is in the southbound lane of Hwy. 53 near the Chetek exit.
11:14 p.m. Towing company says he was dispatched to get a truck and boat out of the ditch near Chetek. The driver is not able to understand him. He is unsure if the driver is having a medical issue or is intoxicated. A Chetek officer will respond. 11:51 p.m., the driver may be intoxicated. 12:30 a.m., the driver was not intoxicated.
Sunday, July 18
2:03 a.m. Cameron caller says a subject in a nearby apartment is intoxicated. He may have hit his girlfriend and is trying to kick in a door. Officer advised. 2:15 a.m., officer says the man left before he arrived. He can be arrested for domestic disorderly conduct. 2:48 a.m., probation will place a hold. Man was not at local bars. 3:07 a.m., officer is out with the man. He is in custody. 3:17 a.m., crisis worker was contacted.
8:11 a.m. Chetek man says his two-year-old child has been missing for the past two hours. The child was home when he left for work. The mother is out looking for the child. 8:17 a.m., child was found. 8:21 a.m., officer says the child opened the front door and went for a walk.
12:48 p.m. Chetek EMS paged to a nursing home for a woman with possible heart issues.
2:44 p.m. Rollover on Hwy. 53 near Chetek. Car is in the median. Chetek EMS, Fire and deputies paged. 2:50 p.m., wrecker requested. Car is on its side. 3:10 p.m., EMS transport is not needed.
5:46 p.m. Woman says she got married in Chetek last night and someone stole her wedding decorations from the venue. She does know who took the items and has been in contact with the person. She wants the items returned tonight or will press charges. 6:06 p.m., officer spoke with the woman and will be going to Chetek.
9:20 p.m. Man says he and his daughter were at a venue. The owner accused them of bringing in carry-in snacks and kicked them out. Caller was not happy about the owner’s dog. Man was advised this is a civil matter.
