10:16 a.m. Cameron caller says his dog is missing. Another man has it who says he bought the dog. Caller says he gave the man money for dinner and he bought the dog. The caller says the dog lives at his house and the man takes it to the dog park. 12:22 p.m., deputy says the dog is microchipped to the man, not the caller.

5:30 p.m. Cameron woman says she is trying to sell her house and there was a break-in. Nothing was taken.

7:08 p.m. Dog bite in Cameron at National Night Out. Dog was from the shelter. Man will be going to the hospital and the dog will be quarantined.

10:24 p.m. Chetek officer checking on a vehicle on Lakeview Drive. 11:31 p.m., woman was cited for underage drinking.

Wednesday, Aug. 7

12:33 a.m. Chetek caller says a man is making suicidal comments. 12:46 a.m., deputy says the man has military experience. 1:14 a.m., officer will park nearby and have him come out. 1:23 a.m., man is outside. 1:58 a.m., safety plan was set up. No suicidal statements were made.

5:38 a.m. Caller reports a funnel cloud on CTH SS between Cameron and Chetek. Another caller reports the same thing. Neither are trained weather spotters. 5:45 a.m., National Weather Service says there is no tornadic activity in the area. 5:49 a.m., deputy sees the cloud. It is twisted and low, but it is not rotating.

Thursday, Aug. 8

9:23 a.m. Chetek officer out on a complaint.

10:25 a.m. Chetek caller says a woman did not put her vehicle into park and it ran over her when she got out. The woman is pregnant and her water broke. EMS paged. Helicopter paged. 10:42 a.m., wrecker will remove the vehicle. It will be impounded. 11:10 a.m., patient is being airlifted to St. Paul, Minn.

7:12 p.m. Social worker says a person does not feel safe at a Dallas residence because a man has been drinking. 7:42 p.m., man blew a .356 PBT. Probation will place a hold. 7:52 p.m., man is in custody. Woman was dropped off at a residence. En route to Barron.

7:15 p.m. Dallas man says he lent his vehicle to a man and the man says it was towed. 7:31 p.m., driver was advised to locate the vehicle or report it as stolen.

Friday, Aug. 9

12:20 p.m. Cameron man says his neighbor is trespassing and is mowing his lawn. It is an ongoing issue.

7:07 p.m. Caller says her license plate was stolen off her truck while it was parked at Brown’s Boat Landing.

Saturday, Aug. 10

2:21 p.m. Cameron woman says there is a bear in her yard. She was advised to leave it alone.

4:05 p.m. Traffic stop of boat on Pokegama Lake. Field sobriety test. Driver is in custody for OWI. 4:16 p.m., blood draw in Barron. 5:33 p.m., man was released to a responsible party.

8:38 p.m. Chippewa County says there may be a suicidal woman. A caller said her coworker had made suicidal comments on social media. Woman is in New Auburn. Woman’s boyfriend was contacted. Woman’s phone was pinged. 9:31 p.m., deputies in New Auburn. 10:04 p.m., they are entering the residence. 10:30 p.m., a safety plan was set up.

Sunday, Aug. 11

4:15 a.m. 911 hang-up call from Chetek. Woman was upset about people drinking. Another woman was upset about the first woman calling police. 4:42 a.m., officer giving the woman a ride to her father’s residence. 5 a.m., woman blew a PBT of .205 and was cited for underage drinking.

9:56 p.m. Factory in Cameron says a man was burned by hot syrup. 10:03 p.m., helicopter paged. It will land at Cameron High School. Cameron Fire will set up a landing zone. 10:41 p.m., man was flown out.

Monday, Aug. 12

2:25 a.m. Rural New Auburn woman says she woke up and her house was on fire. She was told to get out and stay away from her home. She said one side of the house is on fire. She is the only one there. 2:30 a.m., New Auburn Fire requests manpower from Chetek Fire. 2:49 a.m., electric company is en route. 2:55 a.m., fire was knocked down. They are looking for hot spots. EMS is transporting the woman to a hospital in Eau Claire. 4:18 a.m., deputy says the caller sent a message to her boyfriend about 15 minutes prior to the call about the fire. 4:33 a.m., State Fire Marshal’s Office will call New Auburn Fire. 4:33 a.m., crisis social worker will be contacted. 5:52 a.m., deputy is in Eau Claire.

11:04 a.m. New Auburn woman wants to file charges against her boyfriend. She is in the hospital now from a fire. She says the man is a felon and had weapons in the home.

11:19 a.m. Cameron caller says her cousin assaulted her grandfather. They are driving north. 12:23 p.m., suspect is heading to Ashland. Officer will refer charges.

11:48 a.m. New Auburn woman says she has custody of her children and their father is not answering her calls to do a child exchange. 2:12 p.m., deputy spoke with the parties and he will give the man’s mother a call.

4:26 p.m. New Auburn woman says her boyfriend is removing things from her house and she doesn’t want him there. 4:42 p.m., the woman’s house was turned over to the man while she was in the hospital after the fire. She was not happy about that.
