1:02 p.m. Caller in Barron says a woman wishes to harm herself. The woman left. 1:52 p.m., deputy is at the woman’s address near New Auburn. 2:10 p.m., it was a miscommunication.

6:44 p.m. Deputy is out for a juvenile complaint.

7:20 p.m. Fire in an oven at a house on CTH SS between Chetek and New Auburn. Fire might be out. Everyone is outside. 7:38 p.m., fire is out.

Wednesday, Aug. 14

7:17 p.m. Chetek man says the sand plant is pumping thousands of gallons of water onto his property. 7:55 p.m., water is flowing onto his property but is not threatening his residence. Department of Natural Resources was contacted.

10:53 p.m. New Auburn caller says several cars have been coming through the area and watching women. It happens during the night. They would like extra patrol.

Thursday, Aug. 15

8:41 a.m. County inspector requests a deputy assist him at a residence west of New Auburn.

8:46 a.m. Dallas woman says a man is out on bond with conditions to not have contact with her. Last contact was Wednesday when he left her at her vehicle near Prairie Farm. She will fill out a statement.

12:13 p.m. EMS paged for a woman who is having trouble breathing. 12:36 p.m., intercept requested. Chetek Fire paged for a driver for the ambulance.

5:50 p.m. Woman fell in Chetek and hit her head. EMS paged.

8:09 p.m. Traffic complaint on a semi driving on Hwy. 53 near New Auburn. 8:49 p.m., driver will stop in Bloomer for a break.

Friday, Aug. 16

7:20 a.m. Vehicle in the ditch on Hwy. 53 near New Auburn. 7:26 a.m., there is an elderly man inside and he appears extremely disoriented but is uninjured. 7:44 a.m., a pole and fence were damaged. Wrecker will be en route. 7:59 a.m., EMS en route to Bloomer.

9:52 a.m. Caller says her son and his cousin were walking along 29th Street when a white van with two males pulled up and asked if they wanted a ride. The van backed up a second time and the children ran into the cornfield to get away. Woman will call if they see the van in the area again.

10:51 a.m. Chetek woman says she caught a man masturbating behind a tree at the Chetek Dam. When she caught him, he left in a red Ford car. 11:20 a.m., woman says she found some of the suspect’s items in the garbage can.

3:25 p.m. A tree fell on a young male and he is deceased. 3:32 p.m., helicopter paged. 3:43 p.m., medical examiner requested. 5:37 p.m., funeral home has the victim.

Saturday, Aug. 17

12:28 a.m. A pickup is all over the road on Hwy. 53 near Chetek. Caller says it was driving as slow as 20 mph and nearly went into the ditch. Pickup went into the ditch. 12:34 a.m., officers out with the vehicle. 12:50 a.m., wrecker en route. 1:13 a.m., en route to Barron for a blood draw.

6:32 a.m. Man says there was a one-vehicle crash and two people were ejected in the 900 block of CTH O. They appear to be deceased. 6:43 a.m., two helicopters will be en route. 6:48 a.m., helicopters canceled. Medical examiner contacted. 8:12 a.m., notification was made to one victim’s family. 8:41 a.m., notification was made to other victim’s family. 9:33 a.m., state patrol will handle the investigation.

3:04 p.m. Dallas caller says there is drug paraphernalia in the ditch near Dallas. 4:59 p.m., there were needles. They will be disposed of at the sheriff’s department.

7:23 p.m. A fight at a Chetek bar. There are about 20 subjects involved on the dock. 7:44 p.m., no one wanted to press charges and they had separated.

10:47 p.m. Traffic stop and field sobriety test at CTH I and Hwy. 53. 11:25 p.m., en route to jail for OWI.

Sunday, Aug. 18

7:13 a.m. Caller says he believes there is a domestic incident going on at his neighbor’s residence in Chetek. 7:21 a.m., officer has one man in custody. 7:50 a.m., EMS paged. The man smashed his face into the cage of the squad car. 8:12 a.m., man refused medical treatment. 8:28 a.m., en route to Barron. 10:18 a.m., en route to the jail.

1:07 p.m. Caller says people are bringing back THC cartridges and medical marijuana from Michigan. They are coming back today. 1:14 p.m., Chetek police advised.

3:26 p.m. Caller on Hwy. 53 at the rest stop was concerned about a crying toddler girl. She said they were in the bathroom, doing something to the child and the girl was complaining. Subjects left. Information passed on to officers.

4:40 p.m. Man called saying his brother was killed in a crash yesterday. He was going to take a bike, per his mother’s request, and the bartender at the bar below yelled at him. 4:43 p.m., landlord says they caught some people in the deceased’s apartment. 5:12 p.m., deputy spoke with the parties. They will make arrangements to get the property.

Monday, Aug. 19

12:50 p.m. Deputy requests a log entry for a boating crash that happened on Sunday afternoon on Prairie Lake.

2:18 p.m. New Auburn man has a camera at his business. He saw a teen without shoes come up to his door around 11 p.m. He would like to speak to a deputy about it.

4:28 p.m. Cameron man got a scam letter in the mail from “DOT Service” asking for a biennial update. He did not give out any personal information.

4:40 p.m. Cameron teen is upset and wants to leave home. 5:07 p.m., deputy spoke to the teen. She was upset about being grounded. She was advised about decisions and consequences. Social worker advised.

6:04 p.m. Cameron caller says there is a driver on his phone with small kids in the vehicle. 6:09 p.m., officer out with the vehicle. 6:12 p.m., man was advised to not watch videos on his phone while driving.

6:44 p.m. Dallas man says his eyeglasses and phone were stolen a week ago from his vehicle.

7:25 p.m. Woman in Chetek says the lock on her cabin was pulled, the door tampered with and the door relocked. She is not able to get inside. 8:27 p.m., deputy says they were able to make entry. It does not look like anything was taken.

10:11 p.m. State trooper requests an officer respond near Cameron. 10:51 p.m., wrecker requested.
