A former Rice Lake resident remains in custody pending court action in connection with five active felony methamphetamine distribution and/or possession cases in Barron and Rusk counties over the past two years, according to state Circuit Court records.

Defendant Steven D. Randall, 41, was in custody Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022, when he appeared via video hookup at a hearing in Barron County Circuit Court. He is facing a pair of meth distribution charges filed in Rusk and Barron counties, each of which carry a maximum penalty of up to 25 years in prison and/or fines of as much as $100,000 each.
