7:42 a.m. Report of an abandoned ice shanty on Lake Chetek. A conservation officer will follow up.

11:48 a.m. Cameron business says they let an employee go and they believe she took $250. They do not want to file a formal complaint.

12:16 p.m. An elderly New Auburn woman fell last night and now she cannot stand.

12:38 p.m. Cameron woman is having stomach and shoulder pain. EMS paged.

2:20 p.m. Dallas man is not answering the door. He is on oxygen. 2:35 p.m., man is unresponsive but breathing. EMS paged. 3:11 p.m., helicopter paged. 3:40 p.m., medical examiner requested. 3:57 p.m., funeral home will be contacted.

6:08 p.m. Cameron woman says an air compressor was stolen and was located near Wheeler. She knew who the suspect was. 6:58 p.m., deputy says it was a civil matter, not a criminal one. Caller was not happy and hung up.

8:04 p.m. Cameron woman called 911 about getting a ride to the clinic for medicine. She was advised to call the nonemergency line. She spoke about different topics, all over the place.

8:47 p.m. EMS paged to Prairie Lake Township for a man having seizures.

9:27 p.m. Cattle were loose on 30th Street near Chetek. Owner was contacted. 9:50 p.m., all the cattle were in the pen.

Wednesday, March 11

3:45 a.m. Man on Hwy. 53 near New Auburn says he hit a wolf. He removed it from the road. 4:19 a.m., deputy says it was a coyote.

4:15 a.m. EMS paged for an elderly woman in Chetek not feeling well.

8:07 a.m. Cameron woman needs to go to a doctor appointment. She was told an ambulance could be paged. She did not want EMS and would find a ride.

1:10 p.m. Cameron woman says a man broke into her garage and took some tools. They were supposed to meet in the future to exchange them. 1:50 p.m., woman says there are pry marks on the door and she got a message from the man saying he’d deal with any issues from this. 2:32 p.m., deputy says this is a civil case and they will meet on Sunday.

1:43 p.m. Tools and items fell out of a pickup at a gas station in Cameron.

1:50 p.m. EMS paged for a woman with neck and back pain in Cameron.

2:14 p.m. A woman is trying to locate a title for her late father’s vehicle. She contacted the Department of Motor Vehicles.

6:10 p.m. A Chetek woman says her dog was shot and it died. She does not know who did it. Logged for info.

8:29 p.m. Rusk County requests EMS for a man who has shortness of breath.

10:38 p.m. Chetek officer has a man in custody. A pipe was located. 10:44 p.m., probation will place a hold.

Thursday, March 12

8:34 a.m. Deputy out with the K-9 at New Auburn School.

12:24 p.m. Chetek woman is missing her wallet. She had it yesterday at the store. She was advised to contact her bank and cancel her cards.

9:10 p.m. Cameron man says a woman is at one of his rental properties. 10:16 p.m., two people are in custody. 10:21 p.m., there is a newborn inside the apartment. 10:54 p.m., en route to jail.

Friday, March 13

5:57 a.m. A tree is blocking the road near Luther Park.

7:02 a.m. Chetek officer took a report of a downed tree. 7:18 a.m., it was the tree from above. The township was removing it.

10:34 a.m. EMS paged to a Chetek nursing home for an elderly woman who is weak.

7:49 p.m. Traffic stop with vehicle search in Chetek. 7:53 p.m., driver is in custody. 8:30 p.m., parents have been notified. Wrecker has the car. 8:42 p.m., person was cited and released.

9:07 p.m. Deputy out with a vehicle. Both parties said they were there consensually. Parents were notified and they were told to go home right away.

Saturday, March 14

9:49 a.m. Cameron caller says her elderly mother has been sick for a week and has been throwing up. She is not at risk for COVID-19. EMS paged.

2:49 p.m. Welfare check. Man says he has a child in common with a woman and the woman’s boyfriend was in jail for child abuse. The man was out of jail and he has not heard from his child. 3:30 p.m., deputy spoke to the girl and she and her father are not getting along. The woman’s boyfriend is not living there. Everything is fine.

7:37 p.m. Chetek caller says there is an injured eagle. 7:54 p.m., conservation officer says they can keep the eagle for the night and call the raptor center tomorrow. 7:59 p.m., woman says the bird is in a pet carrier and is fine for now.

Sunday, March 15

7:22 a.m. New Auburn woman says she has a restraining order against a woman and she has been getting text messages from her.

11:13 a.m. EMS paged to rural Cameron for a woman who is having chest pain and passed out. She is getting over the flu.

3:36 p.m. New Auburn man says he has a restraining order against a woman and he got multiple calls from someone saying they were the woman’s godmother.

5:19 p.m. Man in Chetek says a woman never appeared to do a child exchange. Logged for info.

6:03 p.m. Man says a woman took his work vehicle and is now in Cameron destroying property. 6:19 p.m., officer will stand by while they do a property exchange. 7:18 p.m., man has his things and will be leaving.

7:04 p.m. New Auburn caller says a man is on the property and is refusing to leave. He is hooking up a trailer the caller is renting. 7:20 p.m., deputy said there were no violations.

Monday, March 16

2:39 a.m. Chetek man requests an officer. 3:12 a.m., his daughters took his vehicle. He was advised to call the sheriff’s department when this happens again.

3:59 a.m. Chetek officer took a report of a vehicle playing loud music.

11:15 a.m. EMS paged to Chetek for a woman who is dizzy and dehydrated.

11:21 a.m. Cameron truck garage says they have some fraud charges on a credit card.

12:44 p.m. Funeral assist requested at 1:15 p.m. at the stoplights in Cameron.

3:33 p.m. Chetek caller says there was a driver in the wrong lane on CTH D. 3:49 p.m., deputy spoke with the driver.

5:48 p.m. Cameron caller says it appears someone tried to break into her house while she was at work.

7:01 p.m. Man says his daughter tried to call him but her mother yanked the phone away. There is a history of arguments between them. He would like a welfare check. 7:31 p.m., everything is fine.
