4:58 a.m. Cameron caller says he is with his friend who has made suicidal statements at this time. The caller has taken a gun and glass away from the friend. The friend is intoxicated. 5:10 a.m., the friend went through a divorce. 5:15 a.m., man is in custody. 5:36 a.m., safety plan will be set up with the man’s mother. 5:42 a.m., the man was given a ride to his mother’s house.

8:24 a.m. Home health aide says a man in Chetek has a fever and cough. EMS paged.

11:41 a.m. 911 call. Man in Chetek requests EMS for his wife who is lethargic and disoriented.

5:22 p.m. Rural Dallas caller says there was a man in a black pickup taking pictures.

5:45 p.m. EMS paged for a cardiac arrest in rural Cameron. 5:51 p.m., Cameron Fire paged to assist.

8:05 p.m. Woman is concerned about drug use when her children are with their father. The children are not with him at this time but she is concerned the man is high.

9:24 p.m. Caller on Hwy. 53 near New Auburn says there is a sedan in the ditch. Caller says the car was all over the road and went from one lane into the opposite ditch. 10:54 p.m., wrecker requests an officer call him. Woman was upset she was dropped off at the gas station. Deputy says the tow truck driver has the woman from the crash and she is being uncooperative and said she is diabetic. He thinks she may make a scene. 11:15 p.m., deputy is at the gas station.

Wednesday, Dec. 30

5:12 a.m. Man has been sleeping for two hours in a truck at a Chetek gas station. 5:28 a.m., man is in custody for OWI.

6:10 a.m. Worker in New Auburn says a patio door is kicked in. There are several items missing from the office and a work vehicle is gone. 8:42 a.m., vehicle entered into the system as stolen.

10:52 a.m. Pickup with a trailer rolled over on Hwy. 53 near Chetek. EMS and Chetek Fire paged. 11:26 a.m., wrecker is en route. Woman was transferred to Bloomer.

11:33 a.m. Probation was told that a man on probation has not been acting right and has been using drugs and alcohol. He is making threats to kill people and says he is in the mafia. He claims his backpack is full of guns and knives. Warrant was issued. 12:09 p.m., man is in custody and will be en route to the jail.

2:23 p.m. Man in rural Cameron has high blood pressure and chest pain. He has had 13 heart attacks and 10 strokes in the past. EMS paged.

4:43 p.m. Chetek Fire paged for a cut gas line. Caller can hear hissing from the line. 4:55 p.m., gas was shut off and utility company is there.

5:36 p.m. EMS paged to Chetek for a woman who fell and hit her head. Barron ambulance paged.

6:20 p.m. Crash north of Cameron on southbound Hwy. 53. Car is in the ditch. Woman says she has stomach pain and cannot feel her legs. Her friend is also hurt. Rice Lake ambulance, Cameron Fire and deputies en route. 6:36 p.m., helicopter can fly. They will go to the Rice Lake hospital. Right lane on Hwy. 53 was closed. 7:21 p.m., wrecker is on scene.

9:58 p.m. Chetek EMS paged to Chetek nursing home for a resident that is having issues with a PIC line and has chest pain.

Thursday, Dec. 31

1:58 a.m. Man at a Cameron bar is going into diabetic shock. Rice Lake EMS paged. 2:01 a.m., man was not alert, and he fell and hit his head.

3:51 a.m. Caller reports suspicious activity near Weyerhaeuser. Call was transferred to Rusk County.

11:01 a.m. Chetek officer says there is a gas leak at a church. Chetek fire chief will meet the officer there. 11:07 a.m., the odor is strong. Chetek Fire paged. 11:23 a.m., utility company is en route. Gas was shut off at the meter.

11:21 a.m. Woman requested a man in Cameron be checked on. 12:04 p.m., deputy says everything is fine.

4:32 p.m. Woman says her two daughters are home alone and they thought they heard footsteps upstairs. She is en route back home. 4:42 p.m., officer cleared the house.

6:13 p.m. Cameron man says he is trying to get his dogs back from his daughter. She has not been cooperative and has been trying to sell them. Last time she was disorderly. Man requests a deputy meet him.

Friday, Jan. 1

2:22 a.m. Chetek gas station says a vehicle there is trailing a long wire. Driver may be intoxicated. 2:33 a.m., officer says the driver appears to be intoxicated and there is a large bundle of wire dragging behind the car. Driver will not say where a crash might have taken place. 3:24 a.m., underage woman blew a 0.182. She was released to her parents. 3:46 a.m., man was in custody for OWI. 5:12 a.m., man blew a 0.187 PBT and was released to a responsible party.

8:41 a.m. Rural Cameron man says some time during the night a car went off of the road and into his fence. A large part is damaged. 9:41 a.m., deputy says it was the car involved in the OWI earlier this morning.

10:11 a.m. Chetek EMS paged to the city for an elderly woman who fell and is disoriented.

1:11 p.m. Woman says she has custody of her 11-year-old granddaughter. She went to visit an aunt in Cameron and is not coming back. The aunt is filing for custody. The caller’s local sheriff’s department told her to call here. 2:46 p.m., Cameron officer is talking with the girl. She does not want to go back. She said a domestic incident happened in Minnesota and a man was arrested. Child is not in danger now and will be staying in Cameron for now. It is an issue with Pine County, Minn., and Barron County.

1:25 p.m. EMS paged to rural Cameron for a man who may be having a stroke.

7:03 p.m. One-car rollover in rural Cameron. 7:18 p.m., wrecker is en route. 7:51 p.m., passenger was given a ride to Barron.

7:38 p.m. Caller would like to speak to an officer about a Chetek restaurant and bar’s food and getting kicked out.

9:53 p.m. Cameron woman says her daughter’s friend was involved in a domestic incident somewhere in the county with her boyfriend. She is headed into Cameron. 10:17 p.m., this happened in Barron. Officer is taking info from the woman. She says there are guns in the house. She has a gun in her possession. 10:43 p.m., the man is not there. There was a single-shot shotgun by the door. 11:20 p.m., officer is checking some leads. 11:34 p.m., man was not located.

Saturday, Jan. 2

11:30 a.m. Man says he rents out a property in rural Cameron. He has been having verbal problems with them and he believes there are drugs there and people living there that are not on the lease. He is going through the eviction process.

2:55 p.m. Chetek postmaster says a mail carrier was punched in the face by a juvenile on Schofield Street.

3:24 p.m. Crash on Hwy. 53 near Cameron. Vehicle went over the bridge, over CTH W. 3:34 p.m., wrecker will be on CTH W to look at the situation. 3:44 p.m., no EMS transport.

8:13 p.m. Woman says she is having issues with her father’s landlord after her father passed. He put an eviction notice for the other resident in Cameron. That resident needs assistance. Logged for info.

9:57 p.m. Rural Chetek man says he wants his niece removed from the property. She is stealing property and he doesn’t want her there. 10:23 p.m., deputy says this is a tenant/landlord issue. She has been living there for two months. She will get a ride.

Sunday, Jan. 3

12:18 a.m. Man is walking on Hwy. 8 near Hwy. 53. 12:31 a.m., driver went into the median on Hwy. 53 north of Hwy. 8. Driver will be given a ride to work in Barron.

6:09 a.m. Caller in Rice Lake says her ex was stalking her. He pulled into her friend’s house with his lights off. She was advised on how to get a restraining order. 6:44 a.m., deputy checked the area. The man’s probation officer will be advised. 7:15 a.m., woman says the man is in her mother’s driveway in Chetek. 8:04 a.m., man says he has property at the address. It is a civil issue. Other subject says he does not have property there. Probation will issue a warrant for the man. Jail will not take him at this time.

10:35 a.m. Rural Cameron woman had surgery a few days ago and she now has cold sweats and chest pain. Chetek ambulance is out of service. Rice Lake ambulance paged.

10:43 a.m. Dallas woman says her parents have a restraining order against her sister. The sister is in Dallas. 11:34 a.m., the woman and father said she was called over to fix an issue with the chimney. Case will be referred.

12:09 p.m. Barron EMS paged to Chetek for a woman who fell last night.

3 p.m. Chetek man has chest pains and breathing problems. Barron ambulance paged.

3:45 p.m. Rural Chetek woman is having an insulin reaction. Chetek ambulance is out of service. Mayo is busy. Rice Lake ambulance paged. 4:14 p.m., no transport needed.

7:42 p.m. Rural Cameron caller says her boyfriend is breaking things in the house. No weapons. Nothing physical. Man has not been taking medications. 8:04 p.m., man is in custody. En route to the jail for domestic disorderly conduct.
