Felonies

Michael J. Balog, 37, Chisago City, Minn., and formerly of Rice Lake, was charged Jan. 22 with stalking [Jan. 15], make terrorist threats and bail jumping-felony [Jan. 16] and was released on a $10,000 cash bond with conditions to have no contact with four subjects, Rice Lake Weighing Systems, the Veterans Affairs Office in Rice Lake or the Department of Corrections Branch Office in Rice Lake. A specified third party may retrieve personal belongings from the residence. Balog must remain absolutely sober and not possess any firearms.

Michael J. Jolly, 59, Rice Lake, was charged Jan. 24 with possession of methamphetamine (as party to a crime), maintain a drug trafficking place (as party to a crime) (second and subsequent offense) and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia [Jan. 23] and was bound over on a $2,500 signature bond with conditions to have no contact with one subject.

Terri L. Boulley, 64, Rice Lake, was charged Jan. 24 with manufacture or deliver amphetamine (3 grams or less) [Jan. 11], possession of methamphetamine (as party to a crime), maintain a drug trafficking place (as party to a crime), and misdemeanors possession of THC and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia [Jan. 23] and was released on a $2,500 signature bond with conditions to have no contact with one subject.

Lance R. Hovland, 29, Rice Lake, was charged Jan. 28 with vehicle operator fleeing or eluding an officer and misdemeanors operating while revoked, possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia [Jan. 26] and was released on $2,500 signature bond with conditions to not drive without a valid license.

Kiel H. Slayton, 36, Chetek, was charged Jan. 28 with possession with intent-THC (1,000–5,000 grams) (second and subsequent offense) [Jan. 23], possession with intent-THC (2,500–10,000 grams) [Oct. 1, 2016] and bail jumping-felony (repeater) [Jan. 23] and was released on a $5,000 signature bond.

Justin R. King, 37, Rice Lake, was charged Jan. 28 with second-degree recklessly endangering safety, misdemeanors resisting or obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) and forfeiture OWI (1st) [Jan. 26] and was released on a $5,000 signature bond with conditions to avoid alcohol and anywhere it is served, must remain absolutely sober, must submit daily PBTs to the Rice Lake Police Department and must have no abusive contact with one subject.

Michael P. Carson, 37, Barron, was charged Jan. 28 with OWI (4th) [Jan. 26] and was released on a $5,000 signature bond with conditions to avoid alcohol and anywhere it is served, must not drive without a valid license and must submit daily PBTs to the Barron Police Department.

Richard L. Olson, 51, Barron, was charged Jan. 28 with bail jumping-felony [Jan. 26] and was released on a $2,500 signature bond with with conditions to avoid alcohol and anywhere it is served and must submit PBTs to the Barron Police Department or Barron County Sheriff’s Department twice a day.

Jacob L. Pecha, 54, Almena, was charged Jan. 29 with bail jumping-felony [Jan. 29] and was released on a $250 cash bond with conditions to avoid alcohol and anywhere it is sold and must submit daily PBTs to the Barron County Sheriff’s Department.

Timothy E. Moeller, 38, Bruce, had a charge of extradition-arrest without warrant [Dec. 17, 2018] dismissed on Jan. 22.

Aaron M. Crowley, 36, Chippewa Falls and formerly of Chetek and Cameron, pleaded guilty Jan. 18 to sex offender-fail to update information [Nov. 14, 2017] and was ordered to 3 years of probation-sentence withheld with conditions of costs of $518 and must comply with the sex offender registry, must undergo any recommended treatments.

Ricky D. Gjerseth, 19, Black River Falls, had a charge of armed robbery (as party to a crime) [Nov. 14, 2017] dismissed but read in on Jan. 18. Gjerseth had a charge of attempted burglary-building or dwelling (as party to a crime) [Dec. 18, 2017] dismissed but read in on Jan. 18.

Cody F. Ormond, 30, Chippewa Falls and formerly of Chetek, pleaded guilty Jan. 28 to possession of methamphetamine [Dec. 18, 2017] and was ordered to 6 months in local jail and pay costs of $518. A charge of possession of THC (repeater) [Dec. 18, 2017] was dismissed but read in. Ormond had a charge of possession of THC (repeater) [Dec. 3, 2017] dismissed but read in on Jan. 29.

Gabrielle G. Carlson, 23, Cumberland, was ordered to 6 months of deferred prosecution or sentence for theft-movable property-special facts [July 31, 2017] with conditions to fulfill the agreement by July 31.

Dante J. Saal, 18, Chetek, pleaded guilty Nov. 23, 2018, to take and drive vehicle without consent [Aug. 29, 2018] and was ordered Jan. 22 to 3 years of probation-sentence withheld with conditions of restitution and costs of $528, must remain absolutely sober, must have no contact with two subjects or their families without prior written consent, must have no contact with three subjects, expunction if all obligations are met and must undergo any recommended treatments.

Misdemeanors

Brett A. Morneau, 23, Chetek, was charged Jan. 22 with bail jumping-misdemeanor [Jan. 20] and was released on a $1,000 signature bond with conditions to avoid alcohol.

Daniel J. Schultz, 50, Chetek, pleaded guilty Jan. 25 to resisting or obstructing an officer [March 18, 2018] and was ordered to 30 days in local jail and pay costs of $443. Schultz had charges of theft-movable property ($2,500 or less), criminal damage to property and bail jumping-misdemeanor [April 21, 2018] dismissed but read in on Jan. 25.

Krista R. Hanson, 26, Cameron, pleaded guilty Jan. 18 to two counts of disorderly conduct [June 6, 2018, and June 12, 2018] and was ordered to 30 days in local jail-imposed and stayed, 1 year of probation-sentence imposed with conditions of costs of $886 and must undergo any recommended treatments.

Cody R. Bunkelman, 33, Chetek, pleaded guilty Jan. 18 to an amended charge of forfeiture disorderly conduct [Sept. 5, 2018] and was ordered to pay a fine of $267.50.
