6:52 a.m. Caller near Dallas says there was a person standing outside a car fighting with another person. A man grabbed a woman. 7:02 a.m., sheriff is out with the vehicle near Hillsdale. 7:06 a.m., woman is in the squad. 7:27 a.m., man will be taken to his residence. 7:42 a.m., man was released. Charges of disorderly conduct will be referred.
10:01 a.m. Chetek man says he fell victim to an internet scam and lost about $870. Deputy advised.
11:27 a.m. Chetek man says he has been throwing up for four days and is unable to sleep at night. EMS paged. 12:11 p.m., a family member will be giving him a ride to the hospital.
11:54 a.m. Dallas man says he lost a tub with two chain saws and tools in it from the back of his truck. His number can be given out if they are located.
12:24 p.m. Cameron woman says she has a restraining order against a man and he is following her and coming onto her property. He was in her garage and left a beer can behind. 12:45 p.m., she requests extra patrol. They will try to make contact with the man.
1:04 p.m. EMS paged to Chetek for an elderly woman with a fractured hip.
8:35 p.m. Cameron caller says there is a used needle on the side of the road. 9:01 p.m., deputy disposed the needle in a sharps container.
Wednesday, May 6
12 a.m. Dallas caller says he heard a woman, possibly screaming for help nearby. 12:19 a.m., deputy does not see anything in the area. 12:33 a.m., caller has a warrant out of Barron County. Other person says the scream came from the east. 1:32 a.m., deputy waited for awhile but did not hear anything in the area.
10:25 a.m. Dallas man says he rented to a man a year ago and then evicted him. The man keeps coming back. He was talking to a new renter. 10:51 a.m., man was advised to get a restraining order and he cannot tell his tenants who they can or cannot invite over.
Thursday, May 7
12:07 p.m. A set of stairs in the lane of traffic on Hwy. 53 near Cameron.
5:48 p.m. Dallas man says his teenage son is threatening to harm himself. Deputies were advised.
6:08 p.m. Caller says his father-in-law has leukemia and wants to die at home. The man removed the caller and his wife from power of attorney. The son-in-law is getting calls from church members concerned about the man. The caller lives out-of-state. 6:57 p.m., a couple was taking care of the man. Deputy will call the son-in-law.
Friday, May 8
5:05 p.m. Child custody issue in Chetek. Woman says a man is refusing to take a child. Man says the children are refusing to go with him.
5:25 p.m. Rural Chetek caller says a woman parked at a boat landing and then walked onto his property to pick rocks along the shore. He has a photo of her. 5:53 p.m., deputy identified the woman.
7:01 p.m. Chetek man says his neighbor took $100 from him and drove off. 7:18 p.m., officer says it was a civil matter.
Saturday, May 9
4:09 a.m. Woman says she got a text from her son saying a friend was drunk and driving mover 100 mph somewhere on Hwy. 8 near Cameron. The son is scared. 4:17 a.m., traffic stop. 4:44 a.m., man is in custody. 4:55 a.m., man was cited for underage drinking.
9:06 a.m. Cameron woman says someone broke into her home. She is missing some medications.
11:13 a.m. Caller requests a welfare check on his ex-wife and two boys. The woman’s family said she is hiding out at her grandmother’s residence and there is a man there that destroyed the woman’s phone. That man said he’d kill the woman and her boys if she contacted police. 1:17 p.m., another caller says the man is at an address and is not answering the door. 1:40 p.m., out at address. 1:54 p.m., suspect in custody. 2:02 p.m., en route to the jail with the man.
Sunday, May 10
12:24 a.m. Chetek caller says there are people in a car in a parking lot and they might be doing drugs. 12:30 a.m., officer said no one was there but the caller will call back if they return.
5:29 a.m. Chetek caller says someone is trying to break into her camper. 5:42 a.m., woman says it was a man and they don’t want to file a complaint now.
11:45 a.m. Rural Cameron man says he was kicked out of a residence and a man was holding some property and medication until he paid him. Caller has nowhere else to go. 3:49 p.m., deputy spoke to the owner and said he cannot withhold property. No medications were found. 5:09 p.m., man has his belongings and if anything is missing, he should take it up in small claims court.
11:04 p.m. Traffic stop. Man has a warrant from Rice Lake. Bond of $996 or 10 days in jail. 11:43 p.m., man will be at an ATM. 12:21 a.m., wrecker has the car. 1:08 a.m., jail did not want to take the man. 1:37 a.m., man paid the bond and will be released.
Monday, May 11
12:04 a.m. Chetek caller says she heard animal sounds like a monkey screaming and getting killed.
1:35 p.m. Chetek company requests an officer help get property back from a woman. 1:50 p.m., woman did not answer the door.
8:27 p.m. Chetek man says there is a pitbull dog wandering around. He threatened to shoot it and said it was aggressive to a deliver driver. Man then said it did not charge anyone. 8:35 p.m., EMT says he was pinned by this dog last week. 8:49 p.m., the dog’s owners were warned.
