Donovan D. Paffel, 26, Cumberland, was charged Oct. 2 with strangulation and suffocation and misdemeanor battery (both domestic abuse) [Oct. 1] and a signature bond was set at $2,500 with conditions to have no contact with one subject.

Nathanial J. Sprague, 39, Rice Lake, was charged Oct. 3 with false imprisonment and misdemeanor disorderly conduct (both domestic abuse) [Oct. 2] and a signature bond was set at $2,500 with conditions to have no contact with one subject and not go within 300 feet of a residence.

Naomi E. Paternoga, 23, Rice Lake, was charged Oct. 3 with six counts of bail jumping-felony and one count of misdemeanor fraud of an innkeeper. etc.-nonpayment ($2,500 or less) [Oct. 2] and a cash bond was set at $100 with conditions to have no contact with Nancy’s Northside Restaurant in Rice Lake.

Christina M. Gilles, 40, Rice Lake, was charged Oct. 3 with two counts of bail jumping-felony and one count of misdemeanor fraud of an innkeeper. etc.-nonpayment ($2,500 or less) [Oct. 2] and a signature bond was set at $2,500 with conditions to have no contact with Nancy’s Northside Restaurant in Rice Lake.

John E. Ackerman Jr., 34, Rice Lake, was charged Oct. 3 with bail jumping-felony and misdemeanor fraud of an innkeeper. etc.-nonpayment ($2,500 or less) [Oct. 2] and a signature bond was set at $2,500 with conditions to have no contact with Nancy’s Northside Restaurant in Rice Lake. Ackerman failed to appear in court on Oct. 7 and a statewide warrant was issued.

David W. Wangerin, 43, Superior, was charged Oct. 7 with vehicle operator fleeing or eluding an officer and misdemeanor OWI (third) [Oct. 5] and a cash bond was set at $1,000 with conditions to avoid alcohol and anywhere it is sold, excluding for employment purposes, must not drive without a valid license and must avoid controlled substances.

Nathan L. Brenizer, 30, Cameron, was charged Oct. 7 with OWI (fourth) and misdemeanor operating while revoked [Oct. 3] and a signature bond was set at $2,500 with conditions to not drive without a valid license, to avoid alcohol and anywhere it is sold and to submit daily PBTs to the Barron County Sheriff’s Department.

Tiffany J. Goss, 31, Rice Lake, was charged Oct. 7 with possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of THC [Oct. 5] and a signature bond was set at $2,500 with conditions to not possess or consume controlled substances excluding those prescribed to her.

Joshua G. Hollander, 31, Cameron, pleaded guilty July 19 to vehicle operator fleeing or eluding an officer and misdemeanor OWI (third) [Dec. 14, 2018] and was sentenced Oct. 4 to 1.5 years in state prison-imposed and stayed, two years of extended supervision-imposed, 180 days in local jail, 30 month’s revoked license, 30 months of ignition interlock, and stayed and three years of probation-sentence imposed with conditions of costs and restitution of $$3,909, must avoid alcohol and anywhere it is sold, must undergo any recommended treatments, must write an apology letter to the victim within 60 days and alcohol assessment.

Daniel R. Clemmens, 57, Chetek, had a charge of misconduct in office-act with excess authority [Nov. 29, 2018] dismissed on Sept. 25. Charges of misdemeanor theft-movable property and possess illegally obtained prescription [Nov. 29, 2018] were ordered to three months of deferred prosecution or sentence.

Brooke A. Whiterabbit, 29, Rice Lake, had charges of possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanors possession of drug paraphernalia [May 13], theft-movable property ($2,500 or less) and bail jumping-misdemeanor [May 11] ordered to nine months of deferred prosecution or sentence on Oct. 4.

John L. Davidson, 25, Barron, pleaded guilty Sept. 30 to possession of methamphetamine [June 1] and was ordered to one year in state prison-sentence imposed and stayed, two years of extended supervision-imposed and stayed and three years of probation-sentence withheld with conditions of costs of $518, must remain absolutely sober and must undergo any recommended treatments.

Misdemeanors

Kaylee P. Loucks, 17, New Auburn, was charged Oct. 2 with disorderly conduct [Oct. 1] and a signature bond was set at $1,000 with conditions to have no contact with New Auburn High School except by telephone or with consenting school officials.

Robert J. Hush, 18, Rice Lake, pleaded guilty Oct. 1 to an amended charge of battery [Aug. 4] and was ordered to 1 year of probation-sentence withheld with conditions of 10 days in jail, costs and restitution of $4,400.53, must undergo any recommended treatments and expunction if all obligations are fulfilled. Charges of misdemeanor intimidate victim or dissuade reporting and disorderly conduct [Aug. 4] were dismissed but read in.

Jeremy A. Gackle, 33, Rice Lake, pleaded guilty Oct. 2 to an amended charge of misdemeanor battery [May 11] and was ordered to two years of probation-sentence withheld with conditions of costs of $443, must remain absolutely sober, must avoid alcohol and anywhere it is sold, must undergo any recommended treatments and alcohol assessment. A charge of misdemeanor disorderly conduct [May 11] was dismissed but read in. Gackle pleaded guilty Oct. 2 to misdemeanor disorderly conduct [May25] and was ordered to two years of probation-sentence withheld, costs of $443, must remain absolutely sober, must avoid anywhere alcohol is sold, must undergo any recommended treatments and alcohol assessment. Charges of substantial battery-intend bodily harm and bail jumping-felony [May 25] dismissed but read in on Oct. 2.

Brynne A. Schieffer, 39, Cameron, had a charge of disorderly conduct [April 26] dismissed on Oct. 2.
