1:23 a.m. Cameron caller says there is a woman knocking on her door. The woman tried to grab her and take her to another house. 1:47 p.m., deputy will be taking the woman across the street. 1:57 a.m., the woman has dementia.

Tuesday, April 20

11:56 a.m. Cameron man says he has been away from the residence and someone has bugged it and put in a camera. 12:56 p.m., deputy did not find any bugs or cameras. There may be some mental issues. Woman wanted to report the theft of 50 hay bales but was not able to provide proof of owning or having purchased them.

4:22 p.m. Cameron caller says her neighbor is trapping cats and disposing of them in the river. She is missing her cat and believes the neighbor trapped it. 5:16 p.m., deputy did not find any evidence the neighbor was trapping cats. The woman will call if the cat shows up.

Wednesday, April 21

10:49 a.m. Caller near Cameron says a person’s finger might have been cut off. They will drive the person to the hospital.

12:54 p.m. Caller on Hwy. 53 near Cameron says a gold car is speeding, then slowing down and is all over the road. 1:05 p.m., deputy says the car is not stopping and is all over the road. 1:08 p.m., now in Washburn County. 1:14 p.m., state trooper has spikes set up near Hwy. 70. 1:24 p.m., spikes missed. In Trego at 95 mph. Heading on Hwy. 63 to Hayward. 1:30 p.m., car crashed near Hamilton Road and Hwy. 63. 1:54 p.m., Barron County will have felony charges against the driver. Two officers saw a brown bindle being thrown out the window. State Patrol K9 will be searching for the bindle.

5:03 p.m. Chetek woman says a man is in her yard and he appears to be high. He is not supposed to be on her property. Officer was advised.

Thursday, April 22

5:20 a.m. Woman at a Cameron campground says a grill is on fire. She says she is not sure what is on fire. 5:26 p.m., woman says she does not want to go near it. There are buildings nearby. 5:44 p.m., deputy says a pressure washer was on fire. Cameron Fire will take care of it.

Friday, April 23

6:27 p.m. Theft complaint at a Chetek store. The man left on foot. 6:58 p.m., Chetek officer is checking the bars nearby. 7:19 p.m., officer spoke to the man. He said it was an old book of his that he shoved into his shirt. Officer will speak to the store.

11:20 p.m. Car hit a guardrail on 24-7/8 Street and 9-3/4 Avenue. 11:44 p.m., wrecker requested. 1:46 a.m., township was notified about the bridge. 6:27 p.m., deputy said they spoke to the vehicle’s owner.

Saturday, April 24

2:21 a.m. Chetek caller says a man knocked on his door saying he was cold and was looking for his friends. 2:52 a.m., officer did not see anyone around.

8:15 p.m. Dallas woman says a woman is highly intoxicated and she took some pills. She tried to jump off the toilet and into the bathtub. 8:52 p.m., EMS has the woman.

8:48 p.m. Traffic stop on Hwy. 53 near Hwy. 8. 9:05 p.m., subject in custody. 9:25 p.m., probation contacted. Possession charges, resisting, traffic and bail jumping charges will be filed. Deputy also found four needles in the car. Probation will place a hold. 9:42 p.m., wrecker has the car.

Sunday, April 25

1:07 a.m. Chetek caller heard a woman yelling about a man punching her in the face. Officer says a man ran off on foot. 1:23 a.m., wrecker requested. 1:38 a.m., subject in custody for OWI. 1:52 a.m., woman denied any domestic trouble. 3:12 a.m., woman was released to a sober party.

2:15 p.m. Chetek woman says someone put a couple of dead fish in her mailbox. She was quite upset and wanted someone to dust for prints. 3:01 p.m., deputy spoke to the woman and advised the conservation officer.

3:35 p.m. Cameron officer says a vehicle is hung up on a guy wire at CTH W and Airport Road. 3:52 p.m., driver will return. Utility was notified. 4:47 p.m., utility was able to get the wire removed from the car.

4:38 p.m. Chetek woman says she found a man on the ground holding a dog. He may be having a seizure. Barron and Chetek EMS paged. 5:05 p.m., officer will give the patient’s sister a ride to the scene.
