Arraignment is set for Feb. 16, 2022, for a 55-year-old Rice Lake man now facing a third felony charge filed within the previous two years, according to Barron County Circuit Court documents.

The latest charges against defendant Samuel J. Dobbins, 835 Craite Ave., Rice Lake, were filed Dec. 29, 2021, and include one count of felony bail jumping and resisting/obstructing an officer. During a hearing on Jan. 5, 2022, the defendant waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over for trial.

Court records said Dobbins is also a defendant in two other open cases, including possession of meth with intent to deliver, filed in April 2020, and a similar charge filed in January 2021, following an alleged drug deal set up by investigators with the aid of a confidential informant.

The defendant remains in the county jail pending the Feb. 16 arraignment.
