A 66-year-old Rice Lake man was arrested on an operating while intoxicated charge for the 15th time on Monday night, Nov. 18, after a crash south of Barron.
Mark A. Johnson, 66, was booked in the Barron County Jail on a probation hold. Formal charges are expected later this week, said Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald.
The crash was reported at the intersection of Hwy. 25 and CTH A. A caller said a vehicle had run the stop sign and crashed in the ditch. The caller said the man had a bloody face and was stumbling around.
Johnson was the only occupant in the vehicle. He was treated for minor injuries and released, then taken into police custody for OWI.
The vehicle was towed by Swant Towing.
Charges are pending from the Barron County District Attorney’s Office.
