8:26 a.m. Caller says her son’s red and white Coca-Cola bicycle was stolen from a Chetek establishment this weekend. She would like to see an officer.

12:16 p.m. Dallas man says he was home during lunch and a neighbor came up to him with a sack of beer and offered him one. He declined. The man started talking about meth and asked him if he wanted any. The man appeared to be on something. 1:24 p.m., deputy spoke to the caller.

2:12 p.m. Cameron caller says her husband came into the residence and hit her. She will file a report.

6:20 p.m. Caller says there is smoke coming from near the railroad tracks in New Auburn. Chippewa County is sending New Auburn Fire.

6:25 p.m. Caller on CTH SS north of New Auburn says there are grass fires along the railroad tracks. They may have been started by a train. Ladysmith fire ranger will be en route.

9:59 p.m. An exterior light on a Cameron bar was on fire. Cameron Fire paged.

Wednesday, June 5

11:35 a.m. Gas leak at a Chetek fast-food restaurant. Chetek Fire paged. 12:15 p.m., gas utility is on scene.

8:38 p.m. Caller at a clinic call center says they have a man on the line who is making suicidal statements. They will keep him on the line and will do a welfare check. 9:26 p.m., man has two warrants from Eau Claire County. Crisis line was contacted and the jail will be advised.

9:31 p.m. Car-and-deer collision on Hwy. 53 near Chetek. There is injury. EMS and Chetek Fire paged. 9:50 p.m., wrecker contacted.

10:40 p.m. Traffic stop in Chetek. Man has a warrant. 10:58 p.m., man was in custody. Warrant was valid.

Thursday, June 6

11:09 a.m. Rollover on Hwy. 53. Two people are out of the car. One has a cut on their head. 11:25 a.m., EMS was on scene. 11:45 a.m., wrecker is picking up the car.

Friday, June 7

2:50 p.m. Concrete is heaving on the Hwy. 53 bridge over the Chetek River. 4:09 p.m., highway department requested a deputy.

2:55 p.m. Dallas man says he won $50 in a scratch-off and a friend thinks he deserves half. He is threatening him and has been driving around his house several times a day. 3:38 p.m., deputy spoke to the friend and told him to stop.

10:15 p.m. Chetek officer out at a gas station for counterfeit bill.

Saturday, June 8

1:19 a.m. Deputy trying to catch up to a vehicle at Eighth Avenue and 30th Street near Chetek. 1:21 a.m., chase discontinued. Speeds were at 142 mph. 1:24 a.m., no locate. Rusk County was advised.

7:29 a.m. Man says a woman put a van into the ditch on 24-3/4th Street. The woman is walking toward Chetek. 7:35 a.m., man picked up the woman and will drive her to the police department. Chetek officer will meet them. 8:04 a.m., wrecker is en route.

8:26 a.m. Chetek officer out for a counterfeit bill at a Chetek bar.

12:38 p.m. Chetek woman is feeling suicidal and wants to be chaptered. 1:11 p.m., woman was dropped off at the hospital in Rice Lake.

1:16 p.m. Rural Chetek man said someone damaged quite a bit of property in his residence while he was at work. 2:24 p.m., deputy is out at other addresses.

2:27 p.m. Caller in Chetek says a motorcyclist laid down their bike on Second Street and is trapped under the bike with a leg injury. 2:50 p.m., EMS en route to Bloomer. Motorcycle will be there for a bit.

3:53 p.m. Grass fire near Cameron. It is spreading fast and heading toward trees.

4:44 p.m. Road heaved on Hwy. 53 south of Cameron. Highway department will be en route.

10:11 p.m. Chetek man wants an officer to take a sound level reading for noise coming from a nearby venue. 10:34 p.m., sound was under the legal decibel limit.

10:39 p.m. Fight on Knapp Street. Woman took off. 10:42 a.m., officer is with the woman. 10:51 p.m., en route to a gas station.

Sunday, June 9

12:41 a.m. Caller says she woke up to a man standing over her in bed. 1:11 a.m., deputy at residence.

2:52 a.m. Cameron caller says there has been a woman screaming for five or 10 minutes. 3:01 a.m., officer is out with two subjects on the railroad tracks. 3:10 a.m., officer is talking with a man. Woman is in custody. 3:37 a.m., Cameron officer en route to the jail with the woman.

9:28 a.m. Cameron man says an old roommate won’t give him his stuff back. Cameron officer will contact him.

3:36 p.m. Man is at a Cameron residence and a woman wants him removed. A fight was started because the man showed up and said he still wants to be with her. 3:42 p.m., woman says the man tried to break into her apartment and take the baby they have together. Nothing physical happened. Man is leaving with his grandmother. 3:52 p.m., officer will follow them back to the apartment to work things out. 4 p.m., officers are clear.

6:27 p.m. 82-year-old is living with daughter in Chetek. The daughter has been doing drugs and has been verbally abusing the parent. The parent is having chest pain. 7:01 p.m., en route to Barron hospital.

9:03 p.m. Chetek woman requests extra patrol on Railroad Avenue.

Monday, June 10

8:35 a.m. EMS intercept in Chetek for a person having a seizure.

9:36 a.m. Towing company says a car that was towed has drug paraphernalia in it. 9:54 a.m., officer says the car was not involved. The bag was found near the car.

10:30 a.m. Caller east of New Auburn says a man is under a lawn tractor. The man says his foot and leg are under it. EMS and New Auburn Fire paged. Helicopter paged. 10:44 a.m., helicopter is not needed. 11:01 a.m., the man is fine and does not need medical transport.

11:51 a.m. Woman says her husband was mowing the lawn and a man drove by and revved his engine. It is an ongoing issue since the man drove through their yard. 12:10 p.m., man would not talk to an officer and the case has been forwarded to the district attorney’s office.

2:05 p.m. Caller says a Cameron man sent a picture of himself with a gun and then a picture of empty pill bottles. He left in a pickup. 2:16 p.m., officers doing a stop in Rice Lake. EMS paged. 2:23 p.m., man says he took some pills a few hours ago. 4:46 p.m., man will be at the hospital for observation for a few hours and then his father will pick him up. A safety plan will be set up.

2:43 p.m. Caller says kids are jumping off the CTH I bridge. There is not much room and the kids might be hit. 3:06 p.m., deputy did not see anyone.

4:27 p.m. Caller on Hwy. 53 says there is a man hitchhiking near New Auburn. 5:31 p.m., deputy gave the man a ride to Washburn County, where he lives.

5:49 p.m. Deputy is with a vehicle on Hwy. 53. 5:57 p.m., deputy has a very expensive bicycle that fell off a vehicle. It will be at the sheriff’s department.

6:48 p.m. Dallas caller says kids are driving go-karts around town and driving through her yard. 7:25 p.m., deputy told the kids to not drive through the yards.

8:23 p.m. Cameron officer got a call about a man with a warrant at an address. 9:11 p.m., man was gone prior to deputies’ arrival.
