Felonies

Jeffrey A. Rush, 34, Chetek, was charged April 15 with two counts of bail jumping-felony and one count of misdemeanor possession of THC [April 14] and a cash bond was set at $250.

Jessica M. Schutz, 37, Chetek, was charged April 15 with manufacture or delivery of amphetamine (three grams or less) and bail jumping-felony [April 9] and a cash bond was set at $250.

Jack G. Kurschinsky, 60, Barron, was charged April 19 with two counts of bail jumping-felony and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct [Feb. 21] and a summons was issued.

Joshua D. Johnson, 30, Chetek, was charged April 19 with false imprisonment, misdemeanors battery, disorderly conduct (all domestic abuse), intimidate victim/dissuade reporting and possession of THC [April 17] and a signature bond was set at $2,500 with conditions to have no contact with two people.

Stephanie L. Nieves, 39, Rice Lake, was charged April 19 with bail jumping-felony [April 2] and a summons was issued.

Kenneth S. Wessels, 35, Rice Lake, was charged April 20 with possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanors operating while revoked and ignition interlock device tampering/failing to install/violate court order [April 7].

Christopher A. Curtis, 40, New Auburn, had charges of bail jumping-felony and misdemeanors attempted battery and disorderly conduct [March 20] dismissed but read in on April 15.

James R. Taylor, 37, Barron, pled guilty April 14 to battery or threat to judge, prosecutor or law enforcement officer [July 15, 2020] and was ordered to two years in state prison and two years of extended supervision with conditions to pay costs of $518, must avoid alcohol and anywhere it is sold and must undergo any recommended treatments. A charge of misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer [July 15, 2020] was dismissed but read in.

Marina Gosnell, 49, Barron, pled guilty Jan. 15, to theft-false representation ($5,000 to $10,000) [July 19, 2019] and was ordered April 13 to three years in state prison and three years of extended supervision with conditions of costs and restitution of $70,664.53, must have approval for any employment, must have no contact with three people unless they consent, must have no control over a checking account and must undergo any recommended treatments. A charge of transfer encumbered property (value exceeds $100,000) [July 19, 2019] was dismissed but read in.

Cazz A. Johnson, 31, Chetek, pled guilty Dec. 10, 2020, to third-degree sexual assault [May 7, 2019] and was ordered April 12 to four years in state prison and five years of extended supervision with conditions to pay costs and restitution of $1,663, must not possess any firearms, must not vote while in custody, must register as a sex offender and must undergo any recommended treatments. Charges of incest and two counts of bail jumping-felony [May 7, 2019] were dismissed but read in.

Misdemeanors

Kenyon J. Stewart, 44, South Range, was charged April 14 with operate with restricted controlled substance (second), possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia [Sept. 8, 2020] and a signature bond was set at $1,500 with conditions to not drive without a valid license.

Jose Bou, 49, Dallas, pled no contest on April 14 to an amended charge of forfeiture unlawful use of telephone [Dec. 5, 2020] and was ordered to pay a fine of $267.50.

Jeff L. Kolba, 51, Rice Lake, pled guilty April 16 to an amended charge of possession of amphetamine/LSD/psilocin, possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia [March 3] and was ordered to two years of probation-sentence withheld with conditions of costs of $1,329, must have no contact with known drug users, must undergo any recommended treatments and alcohol assessment.

Lamont C.B. Douglas, 23, Cumberland, pled guilty April 16 to OWI (third) [June 18, 2019] and was ordered to license revocation of 24 months, 24 months of ignition interlock, 60 days in local jail, alcohol assessment and fines of $1,744. Charges of operating with PAC (0.02 or greater under ignition interlock device order) (third), operating while revoked and bail jumping-misdemeanor [June 28, 2019] were dismissed but read in.

Jose C. Martinez, 33, Barron, had a charge of fourth-degree sexual assault [Nov. 11, 2004] dismissed on April 14.
