Felonies

Anthony D. Phernetton, 29, Minneapolis, was charged Oct. 2 with OWI (fourth), operating with a PAC (fourth) and misdemeanor disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) [June 23].

Marty A. Nichols, 52, Cameron, was charged Oct. 5 with possession of methamphetamine, bail jumping-felony and misdemeanor carry a concealed knife [Oct. 3] and a signature bond was set at $5,000.

Kevin R. Loenser, 54, Clear Lake, was charged Oct. 5 with OWI (fourth) [Oct. 2] and a $5,000 signature bond was set with conditions to not drive without a valid license and to avoid alcohol and anywhere it is sold.

Shaye D. Strenke, 28, Rice Lake, was charged Oct. 5 with possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanors possession of drug paraphernalia and bail jumping-misdemeanor [Oct. 2] and a $2,500 signature bond was set.

Gary L. Bronstad, 34, Cumberland, was charged Oct. 6 with four counts of bail jumping-felony and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct [Sept. 25] and a summons was issued.

Anthony R. Castle, 42, Chetek, pled guilty Oct. 2 to possession of THC (second-plus offense) [March 9] and was ordered to nine months in local jail-sentence imposed and stayed and two years of probation-sentence imposed with conditions of costs of $518, must avoid controlled substances and drug paraphernalia, alcohol assessment and must undergo any recommended treatments. A charge of possession of drug paraphernalia [March 9] was dismissed but read in.

Patrick A McClure, 40, Chetek, pled guilty July 10 to manufacture or deliver THC (200 grams or less [Oct. 25, 2019], manufacture or deliver THC (200 grams or less) [Oct. 29, 2019] and manufacture or deliver amphetamine (three grams or less) (as party to a crime) [Oct. 30, 2019] and was ordered Sept. 28 to three years of extended supervision-imposed and stayed and three years of probation-sentence withheld with conditions of 90 days in jail costs of $1,554, must have no contact with his codefendant, must have no contact with any known drug dealer or drug users, must remain absolutely sober, must avoid alcohol, must avoid controlled substances except those used in the amounts prescribed to him, must undergo any recommended treatments and alcohol assessment. Charges of manufacture or deliver amphetamine (three grams or less) [Nov. 5, 2019], manufacture or deliver THC (200 grams or less) [Dec. 4, 2019], possession with intent-THC (200 grams or less), maintain a drug trafficking place, and misdemeanors possession of cocaine/coca, possession of amphetamine/LSD/psilocin and possession of drug paraphernalia (all as party to a crime) [Dec. 9, 2019] were dismissed but read in.

Scott C. Miller, 50, Rice Lake, had charges of misappropriate ID info-obtain money and misdemeanor bail jumping-misdemeanor [April 4, 2019] dismissed on Oct. 2 after a deferred prosecution or sentence agreement was fulfilled.

Jeffrey C. Potosnak, 59, Turtle Lake, pled guilty July 9 to OWI (fifth or sixth) [Oct. 9, 2019] and was ordered Sept. 28 to two years of ignition interlock, two years of state prison-imposed and stayed, three years of extended supervision-imposed and stayed, one lifetime license revocation and three years of probation-sentence imposed with conditions of 180 days in jail, costs of $1,819, must remain absolutely sober, must avoid alcohol and anywhere it is sold, must undergo any recommended treatment and alcohol assessment. A charge of operating with PAC (fifth or sixth) [Oct. 9, 2019] was dismissed but read in.

Misdemeanors

Benjamin J. Jacobson, 22, Cumberland, was charged Sept. 30 with OWI (second), operating with PAC (second), operating while revoked and six counts of bail jumping-misdemeanor [Aug. 16].

Dean F. Schuebel, 70, Cameron, was charged Oct. 2 with entry into or onto a building, construction site or room and criminal damage to property [Oct. 1] and a signature bond was set at $1,000 with conditions to have no contact with one address in Rice Lake except one time with law enforcement to retrieve personal property with the permission of the landlord.

Richard J. Wendt, 40, New Auburn, was charged Oct. 5 with battery and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) [Oct. 2] and a signature bond was set at $2,500 with conditions to have no contact with one person except for third-party contact to arrange child placement and custody.

Dawn M. Kowalski, 52, Chetek, pled no contest Oct. 2 to an amended charge of forfeiture disorderly conduct [July 5] and was ordered to pay a fine of $367.50. A charge of misdemeanor battery (domestic abuse) [July 5] was dismissed.

Megan M. Farrar, 23, Rice Lake, pled guilty Oct. 2 to an amended charge of OWI (first) [June 25] and was ordered to pay fines of $811.50, alcohol assessment and six months’ revoked license. Charges of bail jumping-felony and misdemeanor operating with PAC 0.08–0.15 BAC/passenger under 16 years (first) [June 25] were dismissed. Farrar pled guilty Oct. 2 to two misdemeanor charges of possession of amphetamine/LSD/psilocin [May 14] and was ordered to two years of probation-sentence withheld with conditions of costs of $886, must avoid controlled substances and paraphernalia, must undergo any recommended treatments, alcohol assessment and expunction if all obligations are met. Charges of possession of cocaine/coca, possession of drug paraphernalia [May 14] were dismissed but read in.

Joseph D. Penzkover, 24, Cameron, had probation for retail theft-intentionally take ($500 or less) [July 17, 2019] revoked on Sept. 28 and was ordered to four days in local jail and pay costs of $704.76.

John P. Thomas, 46, Turtle Lake, pled guilty Sept. 25 to an amended charge of misdemeanor possession of amphetamine/LSD/psilocin [May 24, 2019] and was ordered to pay costs of $443. A charge of possession of drug paraphernalia [May 24, 2019] was dismissed after a deferred prosecution or sentence agreement was fulfilled.

Eder, 35, Rice Lake, pled guilty Oct. 2 to an amended charge of possession of amphetamine/LSD/psilocin [April 25, 2019] and was ordered to one year of probation-sentence withheld with conditions of costs of $443, must avoid controlled substances and drug paraphernalia, must undergo any recommended treatments and alcohol assessment.
