8:05 a.m. EMS paged to Chetek for a man having chest discomfort.

9:56 a.m. EMS paged to Chetek for a man with back pain.

2:11 p.m. Caller from Houston, Texas, says he is getting harassing calls from a man in Chetek. The caller’s step-father was in the hospital and was taken home by the man, who is the step-father’s son. The man is not telling the caller where they are going and would like a welfare check. 3:15 p.m., deputy will be talking to a family member. It sounds like a family dispute rather than a welfare concern.

5:32 p.m. EMS paged to Chetek for a woman who is sick and has a breathing problem.

9:38 p.m. EMS paged for a pregnant woman in Cameron with preclampsia.

11:53 p.m. Traffic stop in Cameron. Officer has the man in the squad. Field sobriety test. 12:27 a.m., not intoxicated but en route to the jail for bail jumping. 1:20 a.m., leaving the jail. Man will be dropped off at his residence.

Wednesday, Nov. 11

5:55 a.m. EMS paged to a Chetek nursing home for a man with a high temperature.

9:23 a.m. EMS paged to a Chetek nursing home for a woman with breathing trouble. She is COVID-19 positive.

10:18 a.m. Deputy requests a log entry in rural Chetek.

11:14 a.m. Cameron store says a woman is stealing items and sticking them in her shirt. 11:37 a.m., woman was issued a citation.

12:06 p.m. Caller in rural Chetek says there are cows on the road. 12:31 p.m., cows were corralled back behind the fence and the gate was closed.

1:51 p.m. Gas drive-off in Cameron.

2:03 p.m. New Auburn caller says two plasma cutters and a welder were taken from some property. Deputy advised.

5:33 p.m. Cameron caller says she was in a domestic with a man. She was trying to stop him from jumping out a window. She is now distraught and wants to commit suicide. Officer advised.

9:24 p.m. Traffic stop. Man has a warrant in Wood County. Wood County will not take him due to pandemic restrictions.

10:08 p.m. Caller cleans houses in Chetek and found a journal with suspicious things in it. 10:21 p.m., officer says it is not law-enforcement related.

11:26 p.m. EMS paged to rural Chetek for a woman with high blood pressure and low blood sugar.

11:39 p.m. Rural Chetek caller says it sounds like dogs are fighting at a nearby residence.

11:53 p.m. EMS paged to rural Chetek for a man who has monitor going off. Possible heart attack.

Thursday, Nov. 12

10:59 a.m. Rural Chetek caller says he is cleaning up his rental property and he found some crystalline substance in a powdered sugar container. He thinks it may be meth and would like an officer to test it. 11:36 a.m., deputy says it is sugar.

11:16 a.m. Deputies out at Browns Boat Landing. Wrecker requested. Two men in custody. 11:28 a.m., en route to the jail with one man. 12:07 p.m., charges of possession of meth, drug paraphernalia and theft. 12:18 p.m., probation will place a hold.

1:49 p.m. Deputy will be out for an interview and search warrant in rural Cameron.

2:41 p.m. Chetek gas station has a counterfeit bill.

3:52 p.m. Driver on Hwy. 53 slid into the ditch. No injury but his side airbags went off. 4:01 p.m., bridge is getting icy.

4:21 p.m. Caller says a man is at a church. Officer did not see the man in the area.

6:35 p.m. Rollover Airport Road near Cameron. Checking to see if the helicopter can fly. 6:43 p.m., caller says a man and toddler are out of the car. Injuries are unknown. Vehicle hit a telephone pole. There is ice on the bridge. 6:48 p.m., EMS is not needed. Wrecker requested.

10:28 p.m. EMS paged to Chetek for a man who had surgery earlier and may have a fever.

Friday, Nov. 13

10:18 a.m. Two ponies are loose on CTH I. 11:02 a.m., owner will get the animals.

11:26 a.m. Chetek caller says a girl is not going to school and is staying with her grandmother. 11:34 a.m., officer was advised.

12:23 p.m. Cameron man says he has open hunting land and people are leaving behind tree stands. Deputy advised him he can take them down.

3:42 p.m. Woman has been watching a child since earlier this year. There is an order to protect the child from their mother. Eau Claire social services said to have an overnight visit with the mother, but they do not want to as the mother allegedly pinched the daughter last night during a visit. Barron social services contacted. 5:07 p.m., caller will try to work out the issue with the mother.

10:16 p.m. EMS paged to New Auburn for a man with trouble breathing. He has COVID-19 symptoms.

Saturday, Nov. 14

12:20 a.m. EMS paged to Dallas for a 100-year-old man in a chair who is not breathing. EMS paged. 1:35 a.m., funeral home requested.

6:19 a.m. Man in the village of Cameron fell off a boat and is hurting all over. He cannot find his oxygen. 6:33 a.m., man’s oxygen was found. No EMS transport.

10:58 a.m. Rural Cameron man says someone ran over his mailbox, fire number sign and damaged his yard. Deputy advised.

3:51 p.m. Cameron man says his daughter’s ex is harassing and threatening him. He was advised to get a restraining order.

4:34 p.m. EMS paged to a Chetek nursing home for a woman who fell and hurt her hip. She is COVID-19 positive.

4:42 p.m. Chetek caller says a man without a valid license is driving.

7:40 p.m. Crash in rural Cameron. Automated call. A car engine and someone saying “oh my God,” can be heard. 8:03 p.m., man says he slid into the ditch but there is no injury. He did not say where he was and did not call back. 8:18 p.m., deputy found the crash scene. No one is around.

10:16 p.m. Cameron man says the last time he saw his wife was Wednesday. He has been texting her but he doesn’t think it is her responding. She is somewhere in Eau Claire. 10:57 p.m., deputy attempted to contact the woman. 11:36 p.m., deputy spoke with the woman’s father. She is staying with her sister due to an argument she had with her husband. The man is intoxicated.

Sunday, Nov. 15

3:09 a.m. Deputy out with a man in Cameron. 3:19 a.m., man was dropped off at a residence. He was intoxicated and was in some sort of argument in Barron.

9:23 a.m. EMS paged to rural Chetek for a woman who can’t breathe.

12:55 p.m. Crash in rural Cameron with injuries. 1:02 p.m., wrecker requested. 1:35 p.m., no EMS transport.

5:55 p.m. Toddler fell and hit a coffee table in rural Cameron.

9 p.m. Man at a bar says another man is harassing him. Caller is intoxicated and was told to step away from the other man. 9:12 p.m., officer says the subject left prior to his arrival. Officer will look for the man. He is no longer welcome at the bar.

11:59 p.m. Caller in rural Cameron says a vehicle is ramming a house. 12:10 a.m., deputy says a woman was involved with a child custody issue earlier and she is highly intoxicated. 12:16 a.m., car hit a garage. Wrecker requested. 12:34 a.m., field sobriety test at the sheriff’s department. 12:46 a.m., man is refusing to fill out a statement. 1:05 a.m., woman arrested for OWI. 2:06 a.m., woman was dropped off at her son’s residence.

Monday, Nov. 16

5:45 a.m. Semi driver on Hwy. 53 near Chetek says a car sideswiped his truck and went into the ditch. 5:49 a.m., car hit a tree and the airbags went off. Driver may be intoxicated.

12:06 p.m. Chetek officer for a student in crisis. 2:22 p.m., student went home with a parent and a safety plan was set up.

12:16 p.m. Two-car crash in Cameron. 12:30 p.m., wrecker is en route.

4:25 p.m. EMS paged to Cameron for a woman who fell outside after slipping on ice. 5:01 p.m., en route to Chippewa Falls.

6:55 p.m. Cameron caller says a package she ordered was delivered by a beat up pickup. She wanted it logged for info.

8:21 p.m. Chetek caller says her ex sent an inappropriate text to her 12-year-old daughter.

10:38 p.m. Caller says an elderly man fell and has been on the ground for a few hours. She can see him via a home camera. 11:05 p.m., man is deceased. 12:01 a.m., funeral home requested.
