11:16 a.m. Cameron camp ground says there is a man in a tent who is being loud and swearing. He is scaring other campers. Officer requested. 11:47 a.m., deputy says the man admitted to drinking but he refuses to PBT. Probation will place a hold. En route to the jail.
4:58 p.m. Chetek caller says there was a possible bat bite. Officer will call the woman.
5:52 p.m. Rural Chetek woman advised of a domestic disturbance.
5:58 p.m. Chetek caller says their front door was kicked in and items are missing. The place was ransacked.
7:17 p.m. Dallas woman says a man will not give her keys. 7:51 p.m., nothing physical happened. They will separate for the night.
8:47 p.m. A storage shed was destroyed in Chetek. 9:16 p.m., officer thinks it was storm related.
11:19 p.m. Chetek man fell out of bed and dislocated his shoulder. 11:47 p.m., intercept paged for pain control.
11:31 p.m. Cameron gas station reports a theft from this morning. The man stole some items, then left and came back to return them for cash. Items may have been stolen from a store in Rice Lake.
11:41 p.m. Chetek caller says his ex-wife is being disorderly, yelling at him and demanding that she be let in. He owns the property and would like her to leave. He says she is demanding money from him. 11:47 p.m., woman called and said she went to the man’s house to get money he owed her and he pushed her out of the house, causing her to land on her back. She does not need EMS. She was very upset. 12:27 a.m., woman in custody for disorderly domestic disturbance. 12:35 a.m., en route to the jail. 12:57 a.m., no-contact order will be enforced against the woman. Woman’s vehicle will be dropped off at the jail.
Wednesday, Aug. 28
4:57 a.m. Chetek woman is worried about her roof. She was not making much sense. 5:12 a.m., woman may have had a panic attack. She has calmed down.
10:06 a.m. Woman came to the sheriff’s department to ask about getting from a Dallas woman some property that belonged to a deceased man. 12:08 p.m., advised to go to the clerk of courts as the man did not have a will.
11:13 a.m. New Auburn man says he fell victim to a fraud and lost money. He will stop in to report it.
1:02 p.m. Car rear-ended a semi on Hwy. 53. No injuries. 1:34 p.m., wrecker en route.
2:22 p.m. EMS paged to rural Chetek for a man found on the floor. 2:49 p.m., en route to Barron with one patient.
2:47 p.m. Caller says there is a drug problem in an apartment. Subjects are drunk and can’t stand up.
3:05 p.m. Dallas woman says her ex came over to get his wallet and he was disorderly toward her. She thought he was going to spit on her and is concerned he will break in after she leaves. She will fill out a statement.
4:43 p.m. Driver on Hwy. 53 near New Auburn says another driver is swerving because he is texting.
6:18 p.m. Caller says a man in Chetek has been sending messages about self-harm. Officer will check a residence. 7:01 p.m., crisis social worker was contacted. 7:22 p.m., a safety plan was set up.
7:53 p.m. EMS paged for a possible right hip fracture in Chetek. 8:14 p.m., en route to Barron.
8:07 p.m. 911 call in Chetek. 8:16 p.m., Chetek officer says it appears there was a domestic incident. Man is in custody. EMS paged for a cut on an eyebrow. 9 p.m., no EMS transport. 9:10 p.m., district attorney contacted. 9:31 p.m., deputy transporting the man to Spooner. Woman will be taken to the jail.
8:47 p.m. Rural Chetek caller reports a theft. 9:06 p.m., man had a $20 grill stolen and wished it be logged for info.
Thursday, Aug. 29
12:04 a.m. Rural Chetek woman says her husband has been drinking and won’t go to sleep. She wants an officer to come set him straight. Woman was advised there were no deputies available at this time and they won’t be sending a deputy to put the man to sleep. She was told to have him sleep on the couch and call back if he becomes disorderly.
6:23 a.m. EMS paged in Chetek for a woman who just had a seizure.
8:01 a.m. Chetek resident says he saw money being passed out of a window for drugs at an apartment. 8:19 a.m., police were made aware of it.
8:20 a.m. Man is dizzy and vomiting. EMS paged to Chetek. 9:01 a.m., EMS intercept.
8:36 a.m. Chetek man says a boat floated up to his dock. 12:34 p.m., owner was contacted.
8:56 a.m. EMS paged for a possible blood clot in Chetek.
9 a.m. Man went into the median on Hwy. 53 near New Auburn and hit a tree. He is not injured. 9:33 a.m., wrecker requested.
11:40 a.m. Harassment restraining order filed for subjects in Dallas.
11:58 a.m. Rural Chetek man is concerned that a neighbor’s attempt to burn a large pile of logs may have resulted in accelerant spilling into his private lake or the Red Cedar River. DNR is aware of the complaint.
1 p.m. Dallas caller wants a check on his tenant who he has not been able to contact for three days. He saw a former tenant who was evicted there. 1:29 p.m., deputy says everything is okay.
3:09 p.m. Fall in Chetek. Woman may have a broken shoulder. EMS paged.
11:45 p.m. Driver on CTH SS north of Chetek said he nearly hit one of three women walking on the road. 11:49 p.m., deputy said they have lights and are fine.
Friday, Aug. 30
1:15 a.m. EMS paged for a woman who is vomiting and having trouble breathing. She has a blood clot in her leg. 1:41 a.m., EMS paged.
3:08 a.m. Dallas man called about why he and a woman were fighting and a restraining order was issued. He was told to take the info to the courts.
1:37 p.m. Caller says a pontoon blew away on Pokegama Lake. They described it as “old and ugly,” and would like a call if someone finds it.
2:51 p.m. Woman in Chetek says a man showed up at her residence and began pounding on the door. He was outside with a woman and they appeared to be arguing. 3:19 p.m., man had run out of gas. They are on their way.
4:32 p.m. 56-year-old woman was stung by a bee near Chetek. She is having trouble breathing. EpiPen and Benadryl was given. 4:39 p.m., helicopter paged to Chetek. Chetek Fire paged for a driver for the ambulance. 5:03 p.m., another EpiPen was given. 5:29 p.m., patient was transferred to the Mayo helicopter.
5:25 p.m. Cameron caller has problems with trespassers. He confronted a man who took off down the railroad tracks. 5:42 p.m., man and woman were warned by an officer about trespassing.
8:18 p.m. Chetek woman requests extra patrol for a damaged mailbox.
10:41 p.m. Car hit a deer on Hwy. 53 near Chetek. It will be towed to Chippewa Falls.
Saturday, Aug. 31
8:10 a.m. Caller on Hwy. 53 says a semi cut them off. 8:29 a.m., semi driver says the van cut them off near New Auburn. Deputy will talk to the complainant.
10:44 a.m. Caller says they saw someone do a ski dive off of the Long Bridge into the lake with a kneeboard. The boat headed north. Multiple people were filming it. 11:02 a.m., recreation officer says no state laws were broken.
6:36 p.m. Car hit a utility pole near Chetek and then drove away, toward Chetek. Pole was snapped in half. 7:58 p.m., utility company is on scene.
9:19 p.m. Caller says there were kids spray painting and breaking windows at the old Cameron elementary school. Officer will check the area.
9:55 p.m. There is a couple yelling at each other in Cameron. Caller wants them to quiet down. 10:47 p.m., probation will place a hold on a man.
10:18 p.m. Noise complaint in Chetek. 10:30 p.m., bar’s live music is done and is packing up.
Sunday, Sept. 1
12:52 a.m. Couple in Chetek are arguing about a man leaving and the man is intoxicated. 1:39 a.m., officer will give the mother and son a ride.
2:10 a.m. Cameron officer got a call from a woman saying she needed help for her and her son. 2:18 a.m., officer is checking a residence. 2:43 a.m., woman says she and her daughter went to pick up her son from the casino and everything is fine.
4:50 p.m. Rural Cameron caller says she is trying to get her dog back. They gave it to people to look after when her son went to jail. He is out and they won’t give the dog back.
6:42 p.m. Theft complaint in rural Cameron.
9:41 p.m. New Auburn man says his mother is threatening to call him in for elder abuse. She is on many medications and is not in her right mind.
10:15 p.m. Cameron caller says her mother and boyfriend have been arguing. It has been going on all year. 10:56 p.m., officer says it was all verbal.
11:23 p.m. Woman says her daughter says she was being choked and burned by a cigarette by her boyfriend. Woman wants an officer to check the Chetek area. 11:56 p.m., officer is out with the couple. 12:18 a.m., they are getting a different story from them. There is no evidence of a crime.
Monday, Sept. 2
1:54 a.m. Traffic stop. 2:18 a.m., OWI. 2:58 a.m., en route to Barron for a blood draw. 3:44 a.m., en route to the jail.
7:43 a.m. Caller says there was a crash on CTH D west of Chetek and the subject is deceased. 7:52 a.m., officer says the subject is not deceased. He is now alert. No helicopter needed. 7:57 a.m., wrecker needed. Vehicle is 100 feet off the road in a swamp. 8:08 a.m., driver blew a PBT of 0.148. 8:13 a.m., probation will place a hold. 8:19 a.m., en route to the jail.
3:26 p.m. Cameron woman says an older pickup drove by slowly, then sped away fast. She heard four gunshots. 4:48 p.m., officer did not see anything.
3:40 p.m. Two-car crash on CTH W west of Cameron. EMS paged. 3:54 p.m., wrecker is there. 4:06 p.m., en route to the hospital with two.
6:33 p.m. Caller north of Sand Creek says a house burned down several months ago and now there are some small fires burning there. 6:48 p.m., Sand Creek Fire will respond. 7 p.m., it is a rekindle of a previous house fire. 8:23 p.m., fire is out but the homeowner may be burning small fires around it tonight.
7:57 p.m. Caller’s vehicle was at the CTH OO boat landing and when he returned, windows were broken. 8:19 p.m., deputy says someone did a burnout in the parking lot. It does not appear to be targeted.
10:31 p.m. Deputy is investigating an odor of drugs. 10:49 p.m., deputy says subjects were cited and released.
