2:10 p.m. Chetek sand plant discovered some copper wire was cut and is missing. 2:56 p.m., deputy is following the utility company to a substation.

4:29 p.m. Rural Chetek caller says a neighbor came over and has been yelling for an hour. A relative came over and threatened them. She had a knife on her side. It may be a dispute over property lines. 5:06 p.m., deputy spoke to the woman. She was advised to stay away from the property and will have another survey done.

8:14 p.m. Rural Cameron woman says her boyfriend does not have a license, is intoxicated and has stolen her vehicle. The man is now back in the driveway. She wanted it logged for info.

Tuesday, Aug. 31

5:58 a.m. Woman driving on Hwy. 53 near Chetek hit something and her car is not drivable. She is at the rest area and will be calling a towing service. 6:19 a.m., deputy removed a large piece of metal debris from the road.

9:10 a.m. Caller on Hwy. 8 near Cameron is driving to the hospital with his wife who has low blood pressure and is about to faint. Hospital was advised.

10:13 a.m. Traffic stop near Chetek. Man will be transported to the sheriff’s department. 10:49 a.m., bike can be left where it is.

11:51 a.m. Chetek store says an elderly woman seems confused. She cannot get her car to work and does not know where her husband is. 12:06 p.m., officer will bring the woman to the police station to call her husband. 12:29 p.m., woman was given a ride home.

1:55 p.m. Rural Cameron woman says someone left a trailer with a garage door on her property. They left a note saying it will be removed soon. Caller wants the trailer removed, the owner fined and a call from a deputy. 2:10 p.m., trailer hauler was contacted. He will be en route to pick up the trailer. 2:25 p.m., the trailer’s owner will be called to see if he knows what is going on with the trailer. 2:30 p.m., man says he sold it to another person about two months ago. 2:44 p.m., wrecker will tow the trailer. It is a wide load and may need an escort. 3:37 p.m., original caller purchased the trailer for $1,500. A deal was made at the Chetek Police Department and a bill of sale was completed.

2:09 p.m. Rural Cameron caller says he closed a sale on a new property 16 days ago. The former owners had until Aug. 29 to leave. He thinks they are back and are occupying the house again. The caller’s girlfriend talked to them and they have no place to go. This is a civil issue. The bank and their attorney should handle the eviction.

4:11 p.m. Woman called related to the above call. She bought the house two weeks ago and now the previous owner/tenant is trying to move back in. The tenant has a baseball bat and hit the wall and a man on the head. The man bought the house from his uncle. 4:21 p.m., woman says they are cornered on the deck and the former owner won’t let them leave. 4:22 p.m., they are now at their vehicle. The man is nearby. 4:26 p.m., man has walked back up to the deck and is screaming at them. He no longer has the stick. 4:54 p.m., the new owners will leave for the night. The former owners will stay for the night and pack up their items. They will speak to a deputy about the eviction. No party wants to file a complaint on the altercation.

4:25 p.m. Man lost his Apple Watch on Lake Chetek on July 4. Someone found it and contacted one of his friends. He is having no luck getting it back. The finder is in Minnesota. 5:12 p.m., man will see if the Cannon Falls, Minn., police department can assist him.

6:45 p.m. A suicidal person is at a Cameron gas station. Officer is on the phone with a crisis hotline. 6:51 p.m., man will get back on his medication and has the info he needs.

6:56 p.m. New Auburn man has a warrant. He is in custody.

Wednesday, Sept. 1

2:43 a.m. Off-duty officer says a vehicle is on the side of the road with a woman passed out. The woman says she was just sleeping. Vehicle is partially in the road way on CTH W, west of Cameron. 2:56 a.m., vehicle appears to have hit something. Front right tire and mirror are broken. EMS is not needed. They will check the area for damage. 3:02 a.m., field sobriety test. 3:05 a.m., woman in custody for OWI. 3:43 a.m., en route for a blood draw in Barron. 4:55 a.m., woman will be transported home.

8:44 a.m. Chetek gas station says a woman was in the store and as she was checking out she said to call the cops. She did not say why. The woman looked scared. She got into a vehicle and it left. Vehicle information was given. 9:10 a.m., officer did not find the vehicle.

10:27 a.m. Deputy has a rural Chetek woman in custody on two warrants. 10:45 a.m., woman is in custody for meth possession with intent as well. 10:50 a.m., three people will be taken to the jail. 11:39 a.m., at the jail.

11:59 a.m. Rural Cameron man says a man is threatening to blow up his house. He has a recording of it. 12:52 p.m., man was advised to get a restraining order.

12:27 p.m. State trooper requests another officer for a traffic stop near New Auburn. 12:59 p.m., vehicle search. 1:11 p.m., woman on probation had alcohol in her possession. She blew a 0.00 PBT. Probation will not place a hold. She will contact her agent and explain what happened. 1:33 p.m., vehicle can be left where it is.

5:01 p.m. Traffic stop near Cameron. Officer found a THC pipe. 5:19 p.m., vehicle search. 5:29 p.m., check on a gun. No record. 5:54 p.m., man is in custody. 6:31 p.m., man will be issued a summons.

5:47 p.m. Caller says there is a vehicle all over the road on Hwy. 53 near New Auburn. 5:53 p.m., it nearly drove off the road and hit a guard rail. 5:45 p.m., traffic stop at CTH I and Hwy. 53. 6:01 p.m., field sobriety test. 6:11 p.m., one in custody. 6:16 p.m., wrecker will tow the vehicle. 6:31 p.m., at the police department. 9:08 p.m., at the jail.

Thursday, Sept. 2

1:04 a.m. Chetek officer at a bar for an ordinance violation.

12:13 p.m. Chetek officer requests a log entry for a fraud case.

4:53 p.m. Dallas woman says a woman has been harassing her for a long time and owes her money. Caller was advised to get a restraining order. She will call if the woman shows up and does not leave.

10:05 p.m. Caller in rural Chetek says a vehicle hit a trailer in the ditch and a man standing by the trailer hit his face on the windshield. The man also has leg pain. They are not sure what happened exactly. EMS paged. 10:35 p.m., wrecker will tow a car to Eau Claire.

Friday, Sept. 3

9:32 a.m. Man near Cameron saw a vehicle stop and heard yelling. A man hit a woman in the vehicle. It left heading toward Cameron. 9:36 a.m., deputy is stopping the vehicle in Cameron. It was driving recklessly. 10:03 a.m., both occupants will be waiting for a ride.

10:36 a.m. Man says he went to a business near Chetek to retrieve his vehicle from his wife. She refused and he was kicked off the property. 10:39 a.m., man was advised as long as they are married it is her property.

11:09 p.m. Traffic stop in Chetek. Man blew a 0.04 PBT. He will be turned over to a responsible party.

Saturday, Sept. 4

2:14 p.m. Woman was at a garage sale near Chetek. She put down her red wallet and a man picked it up and left. She will fill out a report form. 6:30 p.m., deputy checked CTH D to see if it was discarded. 6:38 p.m., deputy did not see the wallet.

4:11 p.m. Resort on Ojaski Lake says some boaters are violating the no wake zone.

7:12 p.m. Cameron caller says a resort has loud music. 7:18 p.m., deputy says the resort has permission to have music until 11 p.m. The complainant will have to contact the county board.

8:25 p.m. Caller says some people pushed him and his fiancée off the dock at a bar. They are now heading home.

9:19 p.m. Traffic stop in Cameron. Man has a warrant in Rice Lake. 9:53 p.m., jail will not hold the man. Another man will be driving them.

10:02 p.m. Cameron officer is out for a man who failed a PBT. He blew 0.03. 10:11 p.m., man is in custody.

Sunday, Sept. 5

1:37 a.m. Chetek woman says she returned to her residence after a week and found two full-sized refrigerators are missing and her air mattress was moved. The lights are all on and the windows were open. She rents but the lease is good through May 31. She is moving out Sept. 31. 2:01 a.m., officer says it sounds like the landlord took the fridges without permission or proper notice. This is a tenant/landlord issue.

11:23 a.m. A Cameron man’s dog died and he is upset and threatening to burn the house down. He is breaking things. 12:07 p.m., deputy says it appears there is no one there. 12:43 p.m., caller says they went to Barron but did not go into the hospital. The man called a crisis hotline. He took off. The man walked into Rockman Woods in Barron. 1:13 p.m., deputy says there are no charges for the damage. He is having a bad day and is not suicidal. A man will drive him to Eau Claire for help.

5:06 p.m. Rural Cameron caller says neighbors are shooting things to make them explode. There was an explosion. 5:26 p.m., deputy says everything is quiet.

7:27 p.m. Small grass fire in the 900 block of 27th Street. Chetek Fire paged.

8:22 p.m. Cameron woman says she was in Amery and a man stole her van. He may be headed to Amery to mess with her family. She has a no-contact order against him.
