Coree Woltering

Ottawa, Illiniois resident Coree Woltering, pictured at right, is attempting to set a new record by running the 1,147-mile Ice Age Trail—from St. Croix Falls to Sturgeon Bay—in just a target goal of 19 or 20 days. The current record was set by Annie Weiss, who broke the record in 2018 and clocked her time at 21 days, 18 hours, and 7 minutes. This picture was taken the morning of Friday, June 5, when Woltering and crew member/pacer Abe Fisher, pictured at left, were running on Hwy. 40 near King’s Inn and Salsibury Campground, just outside of New Auburn.
