Police are investigating a fatal stabbing in which a woman killed a man, according to Barron County dispatch logs.
A man called police at 4:23 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, saying his neighbor showed up at his residence, and the neighbor said she had stabbed her boyfriend.
The caller said the victim was lying in the backyard and appeared to be deceased at a residence in the 200 block of Soo Avenue in Almena.
The woman was walking around the block and was taken into custody at 4:44 p.m. Two other people were also detained.
Charges had not yet been filed for the woman as of Monday morning, Aug. 12, but she was being held in the Barron County Jail on a probation hold.
The Barron County Medical Examiner’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, Cumberland Ambulance, Barron County Sheriff’s Department and Turtle Lake Police Department responded.
No names had been released as of Aug. 12.
