A man pinned under a small tractor in rural Colfax later died at the hospital on Monday, July 13, according to the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office.

The man’s name has not been released at this time.

At 6:02 p.m., a 911 call alerted Colfax Fire, Colfax Ambulance and sheriff’s deputies that a 76-year-old man was pinned under the tire of a small, older tractor. He had been using the tractor and a rotary mower on his property along CTH A in the town of Colfax, Dunn County.

The man was extracted from under the tractor and transported by Mayo helicopter to Mayo hospital in Eau Claire. There, he was later pronounced deceased.

The incident is being investigated by the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office and Dunn County Medical Examiner’s office.
