A man was injured Monday evening, May 6, in an 4-wheeler crash in the town of Clinton on a trail east of Almena.

Cumberland Ambulance, Almena Fire Department, Life Link Helicopter and Barron County Sheriff's Department responded.

The BCSD said Nathan Sanchez, 22, of Long Beach, Calif., was operating a 4-wheeler, failed to make a curve in the trail and struck a tree. He was airlifted from the scene with serious leg injuries.

Speed and inexperience are contributing factors in the crash and a citation was issued.
