A chase reaching speeds of 100 mph began after Rusk County sheriff’s deputies attempted to stop a northbound car on Hwy. 27 heading into the city of Ladysmith on Sunday, Sept. 1, around 2:15 p.m.

Sheriff’s deputies and Ladysmith police officers were involved in the chase. A Ladysmith police officer deployed spike strips near Hwy. 27 and Ambrose Road, which stopped the vehicle. 

The driver, Shawn L. Neidermann, was arrested without further incident.
