Just because you’re not heading out on the water for the fishing opener, Saturday, May 1, doesn’t mean you can’t have a blast.

Catch some great deals at the Chetek Angler’s Widow Shopping Week, Wednesday, April 28, through Saturday, May 1.

Thirteen local shops and eleven local restaurants are participating in the event.

Sign up at one of the thirteen shops through 5 p.m. on Saturday and get entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of four gift baskets. For every $5 you spend at the shops, you get an additional entry form.

The participating shops are A Twist of Lemon, Antczak Angus, Candy Corner & Creations, Carpe Diem, Chetek Bakery, CJ Conner Art Studio, It’s My Lucky Day Unique Boutique, Just Imagine Floral & Treasures, Off “R” Rockers, Rei of Sunshine, Rod & Gun Sport Shop, The Pine Lodge and Whimsical Wares.

You do not need to be present to win. The names will be drawn on Monday, May 3, at the Chetek Alert. The winners will be contacted and printed in the Wednesday, May 5, edition of The Chetek Alert.
