Three Catholic religious sisters arrived in Chetek on Wednesday, Sept. 25, after flying from Mexico City, Mexico, to the Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minn., airport. Pictured above, sitting left to right, are Sister Juana Celaya Ruiz, Sister Gabriela Martinez Tinajero, Sister Gabriela Luna Diaz, all whom will be doing mission work in the area for five years while living at the Chetek St. Boniface rectory. Standing in back is Superior General Diane Perales. The sisters participated in a Spanish Mass at St. Joseph in Rice Lake, on Sunday, Sept. 29. They will soon depart for an eight-week orientation in San Antonio, Texas, before returning to start their mission work in December.
