The Chetek Public Library, at 321 Moore St., Chetek, is open to the public and provides more services than just checking out books.

Patrons can request items and pick them up at the curbside, but people are still allowed to come in and browse new books, DVDs and books on CD. Each month, 200 new items are added to the collection.

Inside, patrons can also use computers, print documents from the computer, send a fax and make copies on the photocopier.

The friendly librarians are available to chat and answer any reference questions. The staff will always work hard to find an answer to any query.

Also available is information on how to register to vote.

The library has take-and-make crafts for kids, which are available for pick up. Used books are for sale and some magazines can be taken home.

Patrons can call to make an appointment, but walk-ins can usually be accommodated. The library can be reached at 715-924-3195.

It is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 1–6 p.m.; and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. It is closed on Sunday.
