A Wisconsin State Patrol aircraft will conduct aerial traffic enforcement flights this week.

Weather permitting, the WSP Aerial Support Unit will patrol in Barron County along Hwy. 53 on Friday, Sept. 17. They will also operate along Hwy. 64 in St. Croix County on Thursday, Sept. 16.

Aerial enforcement is part of WSP’s focus on public safety. From the air it’s much easier to spot drivers who are speeding or driving aggressively. When a pilot observes a violation, they communicate with ground-based units to initiate a traffic stop.
