Singer/songwriter Rachel Hanson, a 2010 graduate of Barron High School, will return to the Barron Area Community Center stage as a member of the band The Last Revel on Friday, May 17.

Hanson, like Chris Kroeze, has been playing the guitar since third grade. She has performed at school talent shows, opened for Catchpenny at the BACC and did a solo act at Pioneer Village Museum’s Heritage Days.

Hanson, who attended University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, became a member of the group Back Alley Blossoms before going out on her own—writing, performing and touring as a solo artist. In 2018, she joined The Last Revel, based out of Minneapolis, Minn., and is excited to bring their “front porch Americana” to her home stage. The audience can expect a full spectrum of modern American music with lush vocal harmonies accompanied by acoustic and electric guitar, banjo, fiddle and upright bass.

The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. on May 17. Tickets are available at www.thelastrevel.com or for $15 at the door. BACC is located at 800 Memorial Drive, Barron.
