Benjamin’s House Emergency Shelter’s Winter Fest on Long Lake is Saturday, Feb. 27.

Come out and enjoy the day ice fishing, snowshoeing or participating in the many planned family activities. The event will take place on the ice in front of The Landing (formerly Props) on Long Lake.

Registration for the fishing contest begins at 8:30 a.m. with the event taking place from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The snowshoe relay starts at 11 a.m. While there is no fee, teams should register in advance to select a designated time slot.

Check out the raffle prizes and enter for a chance to win a 50-inch TV, a pontoon rental on Long Lake, a Yamaha 2000 watt generator and more.

The event will host food, beverages, music and more. The event is co-sponsored by Medical Staffing Solutions and Northwest Builders. All proceeds from the event go to support Benjamin’s House, the shelter serving the homeless in Barron County. For more information on the event, contact the shelter at 715-736-2437 or visit their website at www.benjamins-house.org.
