Norwegian Christmas Traditions presented at Chetek Library

Members of Sons of Norway Dovre Lodge presented ‘Norwegian Christmas Traditions’ at the Chetek Calhoun Library last Tuesday.  The program included history from the Vikings to present-day traditions in Norway and the US.  In 1900, the presence of Norwegians in Barron County was over 60%, Dovre Lodge was founded in Chetek in 1928.  Lodge members pictured are:  Arne Thompson, Lee Solie, Beth Thompson, Asta Solie, Ingrid Rothenbuehler, Robert Fossum, Robin Fossum, and Judy Keilholtz.
