Drumming and poetry … rhythm and rhyme?

Prepare to participate and enjoy both as Blue Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship welcomes Don Karsky, of St. Croix Falls, to teach the congregation a few things about drumming circles. Karsky is well-known on the western edge of the state for leading an uplifting spiritual experience through hand drumming and the power of the spoken word.

The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18. All are invited to attend Blue Hills Unitarian Universalist services. During this service, those attending are encouraged to bring a drum; extra drums will be provided by Karsky. Those who have a favorite poem focused on the spiritual or natural world are invited to bring it to share it with the congregation.

Blue Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is located at 230 Messenger St., Rice Lake. Fellowship and light nourishment always follows the service, and all are welcome to join in.
