Flag Disposal Ceremony

The American Legion Howard Campbell Ganske Post #179 hosted a flag disposal ceremony on Flag Day, June 14, at 10 a.m. at the Legion Post.

As stated by the U.S. Flag Code, “The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.”

The community dropped off old and damaged flags at the Legion Post leading up to the ceremony.
