The Chetek Food Shelf opened for the first time in its new building on Tuesday, June 11. The building is located at 50 Highway Boulevard South (CTH SS), just north of the Chetek River Bridge. Volunteers, including Emilie Wanders, Mary Richards, Marolyn Young, Kris Chester, Sue Millard, Peggy Wetzel, Josey Schambach and Jim Larsen were at the Food Shelf, helping clients and setting up the new space. Pictured above, Young, at right, assists Linda Kurszenski, center, who was the second client of the day. The Chetek Food Shelf will have a grand opening event on Friday, July 12.
