To the veteran who sent me the anonymous letter about my tattered flag.

The day I went out to take that flag down, another veteran was there and made the comment he thought it looked cool. So I left it up.

Believe me when I say I would never want to disrespect any service member. My father served in World War II, and my brother served in the U.S. Navy. I respect all branches of service and love everyone who serves.

I love our American flag and will always respect it. When I retire my flags, I fold them up into three corners and keep them for awhile. Then I give them their rightful service, with a prayer.

I am sorry if I mistakenly offended you or any other veteran. If I knew how to get a hold of you, I would apologize in person.
