Within a few weeks is my birthday—Nov. 12, 2021, and I will be 95-years-old. Many friends have asked me: What is your secret for a long life?
So here are the answers.
First: Never smoke cigarettes, cigars or chew snuff.
Second: No drinking of beer or liquor.
Third: Eat lots of vegetables and fresh fruit, potatoes, peas, carrots, string beans, beets, cucumbers, pumpkin, squash, oranges, bananas, apples and grapes.
Fourth: Be tolerant and eat lightly of meat.
Fifth: With your personality, be kind, considerate and understanding of your fellow man.
Sixth: And lastly, be happy with our country. God bless America, the land we love.
