In a state which has optional mask wearing, and where the preponderance of scientific evidence exempts young children from the vulnerable class, it is problematic that the CWASD Middle School policy should make mask wearing mandatory.

Working in education for forty years, I learned that regarding the education of their children, parents rule. With the current protest to requiring students to wear masks or not at CWASD Middle School, it appears no attempt has been made by school officials to determine what the majority of parents wish regarding the masking policy.

In a time of draft, even the U.S. Armed Forces accommodates conscientious objectors.
