Debra A. Gunnufson

Debra A. Gunnufson, 51, of Cameron, Wis., passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021, at her home with her family and lifelong best friends at her side.

She was born on August 28, 1969, in Colfax, Wis., the daughter of Earl Gunnufson and Wanita Gunnufson.

Debra attended school in Chetek from Kindergarten until she graduated in 1987. She worked for 20 years for the United States Post Office in Rice Lake, Wis. She enjoyed landscaping, working in her yard and anything outdoors around her home. She also enjoyed hiking, tubing, camping and spending time with her family.

She leaves to celebrate her memory her son, Drako (Emily) Gagnon, of Fort Rucker, Ala.; mother, Wanita Kargol, of Dallas, Wis.; brother, John Gunnufson, of Clear Lake, Wis.; nieces, Jolene Johnson, of Frederic, Wis., and Toni Paffel, of Webb Lake, Wis.; and many great nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl; and brothers, Mark and Douglas Gunnufson.

A celebration of life will be held at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek on Friday, Aug. 6, 2021, at 2 p.m., with a visitation from 1–2 p.m.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Chetek has been entrusted with arrangements.
