Thomas M. Vana, 69, passed away at Atrium Post Acute Care of Bloomer, Wis., on Friday, Sept. 6, 2019.

He was born on Sept. 8, 1949, in Chippewa Falls, Wis., to Melvin and Lenora (Purintun) Vana. Tom owned and operated Vana Roofing with his father for many years. He also worked for Jerry’s Tree Service and Imagine Plastics before getting ill.

He is survived by his mother, Lenora, of Chetek, Wis.; son Thomas Vana Jr., of Chetek; brothers Donald (Betty) Vana, of Chetek, Brentt Vana, of Chetek, Cynthia (Greg) Saylor, of Barron, Wis., Mary (Jim) Sekola, of Chetek, and Coletta (Kenneth Janiszewski) Peterson, of Chetek; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
