Darlene A. Solie

Darlene A. Solie, age 81, of Chetek, Wis., died Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at her home.

She was born Sept. 7, 1939, to Bennie and Agnes (Briggs) Wintrone, in Rice Lake, Wis. On Sept. 21, 1956, she was married to Donald Solie in Dallas, Wis. Throughout the years, Darlene helped her husband farm, and together they operated their storage business. She enjoyed camping, snowmobiling & dancing.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Don; sons, Darrell (Sharon) and Marvin (Fay) Solie; daughter, Lori (Edward) Turauwski; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda (Rod) Provin; sisters-in-law, Jeanette, Joyce and Jane Wintrone and Marlene Solie; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathy Solie; and brothers, Loyde, Wilburt and Duane Wintrone.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 16, at New Scandinavia Lutheran Church in the Town of Maple Grove, rural Dallas, Wis., with Rev. D. Peter Friberg officiating.

Visitation will be held for the hour prior to the service at the church. A celebration of life will follow at 2 p.m. at Lynda’s Lakeshore Resort on CTH M, north of Chetek. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron and Dallas.
