Steven “Bubba” Cole

Steven “Bubba” Cole, 36, of Chetek, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 25, 2021.

He was born Feb. 9, 1984, in Barron, Wis.

As a child, Bubba traveled with his parents on many trips throughout this great country, seeing and experiencing the beauties of the United States while his parents were earning their living as over-the-road truck drivers.

Bubba graduated from New Auburn High School in 2002. He worked with his father for many years on the pipeline in many different parts of the country. He was currently employed at Automated Building Components in Chetek.

He loved to ride Harley Davidson motorcycles, snowmobiles and dirt bikes. He had a particular great skill of wrecking many of them. He enjoyed rifle and bow hunting, fishing, but most of all he loved to spend time with his children.

He leaves to celebrate his memory wife, Holly; three beloved children, Maleah Faith, Natalie Joyce and Lyberty Linnea; step-daughter, Shyloh Grace; parents, Dale “Butch” and Denise Cole, and Linnae and Jim Cox; sister and brother-in-law, Heide and Derek Waterhouse; step-sister, Zoe McGary; three nieces and a nephew, McKayla Tyler, Jasmine Berning, Brayton Berning and Niyah Waterhouse; great-niece, Berklee Tyler; grandmother, Ruth Ann Lund; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dale and Darlene Cole; maternal grandfather, Walter Eisner; and nephew-in-law, Brett Tyler.

Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 29, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek and then again at Chetek Lutheran Church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 12 noon. At noon, a private family funeral service will be held.

Masks or facial coverings will be mandatory to enter the visitation at the funeral home and the church. Please practice social distancing guidelines as laid out by the CDC.

He will be laid to rest at a later date. Pallbearers will be Ryan Davis, Jesse Davis, Kevin Davis, Landon Cole, Adam Taft and Mitch Nelson.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Chetek has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
