David L. Nesja

David L. Nesja, of New Auburn, Wis., passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, Wis.

He was born April 18, 1947, to Benjamin and Esther (Peterson) Nesja, of Eau Claire. He graduated from North High School, Eau Claire. He served in the U.S. Army from January 1965 until January 1969.

Dave was a welder by profession, but he enjoyed working his beef farm. He also drove truck and was a plumber’s assistant. Dave loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; his beloved companion, Zip; one son, Douglas; one daughter, Victoria; one grandson, Wyatt; one granddaughter, Emmah; one brother, Richard (Sylvia); two nieces, Jorunn and Jodi (Grant); three stepsons, Larry (Kelly), Jerry (Wendy) and Jeffrey (Teresa); 10 stepgrandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren, along with many great friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Hazel; and one sister in infancy.

At his request, there will be no services. His final resting place will be at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery near Spooner, Wis.
