Jerome “Jerry” Arden Severson, born on Nov. 19, 1944, of Dallas, Wis., passed away at Our Lady of Peace Hospice House in St. Paul, Minn., on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018.
Jerome loved mechanics and farming and worked as a diesel mechanic through the National Guard and for various shops around Barron County, Milwaukee, Michigan and Oregon until he was forced to stop due to a stroke. While his stroke slowed him down, it never stopped him or gave him reason to complain. Jerome was determined, independent and always had a new project to work on.
Jerome is survived by his daughter, Monica (Brian) Shea; son Eric (Kari) Severson; grandchildren John Shea, and Henrik and Kalena Severson; cousins; and extended family. Jerome was a devoted father, grandfather and friend to all.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Arden Meredith and Gladys Marie (Haugestuen) Severson.
A special thank-you to the Our Lady of Peace Hospice House for their loving care and support in Jerome’s final days after his diagnosis of leukemia.
Funeral services for Jerome will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, at Maranatha Evangelical Free Church, 3340 S. Main St., Rice Lake, Wis., with Rev. Cody Kargus and Tony Nord officiating.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church.
