Glenn Roger Nichols

Glenn Roger Nichols, 81, of Grandville, Mich., passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020. He was born on March 13, 1939, in Kankakee, Ill., to the late Glenn A. and Florence (Snow) Nichols. Glenn grew up in Chetek, Wis.

He married his high school sweetheart, Joan (Gronning) Nichols, on Dec. 29, 1957, in Chetek. Together they shared 62 years together.

Glenn enjoyed the Gaither Vocal Band music and concerts, football, golf, classic westerns, square dance calling, camping, water sports, the Olympics and talking to his grandchildren. He loved and adored the loves of his life: Joan, his children, his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; children Richard (Dona) Nichols, Kathy (Kevin) Arends, Steven (Shirley) Nichols, Tamyra (Scott) Baldwin, Christopher (Carrie) Nichols and Michael (Sarah) Nichols; 21 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his children, Penny Ann Nichols and Thomas Glenn Nichols; and siblings John and Lois Nayes, and Donald and Donna Nelson.

An outdoor gathering will be held on Friday, June 26, at Christ Lutheran Church, 2350 44th St. SW, Wyoming, Mich. Visitation will be from 5–5:45 p.m. and a memorial service will be at 5:45 p.m.
