Jane Eileen Jennings

Jane Eileen Jennings, 82, of Rice Lake, Wis., formerly of Chetek, Wis., died Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, at Our House Memory Care in Rice Lake.

She was born on Feb. 1, 1936, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Charles and Hilda (Benishek) Lampien. Jane was married to William Jennings on May 20, 1965, in Chicago, Ill. They owned and operated Bob’s Grill in Chetek for over 30 years; she was famous for her “spudnik” recipe. She loved gardening and cooking, and was a great homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, William Jennings II, of Rice Lake; five children, Ken Abrahamson, of St. Pete Beach, Fla., Candace Chaja, of Oklahoma, Cindy (Timothy) Maher, of Chetek, Bill Jennings III, of Chetek, and Tom (Michelle) Jennings, of Chetek; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Hilda Lampien, and two brothers.

Private services will

be held. Appleyards’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake are in charge of the arrangements.
